  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

I've said this over and over again.  YOU GUYS wanted the moderation.

We didn't even put up rules at first.  Then everyone wanted to report each other and ask for rules about what you could and couldn't do.  So I put up guidelines not even rules.  99% of the reported posts come from this blog only.  Everyone else has no issues. You guys complained, reported each other and wanted moderation so now you're getting it.

As for being anonymous, mods want to be able to post freely as a community member without being harassed.  It happens to VA despite us saying don't go to him about mod stuff.  "at their whim" is a funny one.  We don't want to suspend or ban anyone and we let A LOT go.   If we don't give warnings, half of you complain we're not enforcing the rules.  If we do give warnings, the other half complain we're too strict.  Can't make everyone happy.

Social media sites have moderation rules too.  It's not "dystopian" it's following the terms of service for a site.  Go to reddit, Facebook or elsewhere and try to post things against the rules and see what happens.

There are other message boards and social media sites that don't have anonymous moderators that are successful. I don't really have a fight in this but just an fyi

lol yea right. this has turned into a comedy show more than anything. I mean we do have a 8-0 football team

The problem we all face is that having an 8-0 team doesn't leave us with much to complain about ... and the Blog is largely driven by complaints rather than kudos.

Let's nitpick. It's what we do. How many times we gonna allow opponents to convert fake punts against us? Can we get more than 10 yards on a punt return. Get Devon Allen up and see what he can do.

Maybe one day I’ll grow up to be an upstanding and respected member of the EMB like mattwill and igglesphan

I think you have me mistaken for someone else.  Back on the EMB I was suspended for 2 weeks and then that was doubled by the Mods because I called them out publicly.  I suspect most people would say that i'm outside the box more than I am inside the box in most of what I do in life.

The last time I checked I was louse free, so as a result I don't have any nits.  So picking them is hard to do.

and that's why this board has become the way it is. Go Birds.

You can not imagine how disappointed I am that today is not Saturday. I thought today was Saturday. My kids had an early dismissal yesterday, and are off school today for veterans day. With them being off school, Ive been thinking it was Saturday.

Had my dog out this morning. Saw a worm in his crap. Took that to the vet to get him medicine. Been vacuuming the house like a nut. Washing our bed covers, blankes on the couch where he lays, etc.

Finally thought I was going to sit down and put on a college game.

And what do you know? Its Fing Friday.

It's not just here, either. Podcasts have been pretty boring as well as day after articles. When the team is unbeaten and their isn't much competition or adversity, there's just not much to say week after week.

Interesting that you don't mention wanting Aaron Judge.

The Phillies currently have a superior player who mans RF

Why am I not surprised that your dog has worms

I'm a yankee fan. Don't touch Judge

Even if you aren’t a soccer fan, the Netflix special on the FIFA corruption is great. It’s just amazing how power can make people so damn stupid.

I know this is probably been discussed To the point of nausea But I’ve been away from the boards for a while and I was just wondering how does the board now feel about Jalen Hurts?

Cause for me Im still on the fence I think Shane Steichen Has done a hell of a job schematically playing to Jalen hurts strengths But Is this RPO Offense going to be able to sustain itself in the long run?

What about that Japanese player? I honestly know nothing about him, but he seems like a hot commodity.

From what I've read is he is a corner outfielder with not much speed or great arm but one of the best hitters in the world.  So would only make sense if we can move Rhys (put Nick at 1st) or move Nick

Never seen him play, don’t really know much about him.

Steelers vs Saints is a pretty big game for us on Sunday. Need a Steelers win. They're coming off a bye and maybe TJ Watt could be available. Steelers didn't look terrible against the Eagles a couple weeks back, maybe they build on that and win at home.

Both the Saints and the Steelers are bad, so the home-field, rest and coaching advantage is big for Pittsburgh. That would be another tough loss for the Saints who are getting close to quitting, as long as Tampa racks up more wins.

Here's my unpopular opinion.

CJGJ is the perfect one and done and the Eagles should thank him while holding the door open for him to walk.

First, the compensation given to acquire him is perfectly fine for a one year rental. And while you can't always rely on a comp pick, I think it's possible the Eagles could recoup the 5th given up for him. It's possible if he gets the equivalent of the Marcus Williams deal ($14M APY, currently 9th among Safety salaries) he would net a 4th round comp pick. Again, cant rely on it, but the scenario is there where the Eagles traded away essentially nothing for him.

Second, I think he's entering the territory that Trevon Diggs was in last year. The interceptions are nice, highlight plays, but they are overrating the overall play of the person. This is not to say he's playing horribly, but there are flaws (run defense) that are getting brushed under the rug. Interceptions, in my opinion, also will fluctuate wildly. It's like being on a heater playing Blackjack. He's had 5 interceptions his whole career entering the year (46 games) and already has 5 interceptions this year (8 games). I fully expect that he will regress in this area in the future.

Third, we all know he's a bit of headcase. He's in a contract year so I think he's playing nice for the time being. Also, they are 8-0, which helps. If he's not getting his INT's and the team is losing, I think more of his ugly side will rear it's head. I also think it's interesting that Bo Wulf said he was an ass the first week he was here, but has gotten better.

TL/DR: This is the absolute peak of CJGJ as a person and player. We know he wants to get paid because he was causing problems in NO over getting paid and wanted to switch to S from Nickel CB to get paid. So if you want to sign him, it's probably going to be at a premium. And I don't think he will be worth it in the long run.

there was just an article written about him because he is a big bryce harper fan, and is now a free agent.

He seems redundant defensively. But seems like a legit leadoff type of batter for the lineup.

Im not sure its the peak, because he is so new to the position in the NFL. There is likely a lot of room for improvement. And its nice to have one ballhawk in the deep half of the secondary, which he can continue to be. Theres also a lot written on how he opens up various coverage schemes with his ability to cover TEs, and anyone else in the slot.

He is a weak tackler. But whereas you think the flash plays blind everyone to the negatives with him, I see it as the opposite. I think the one negative is his tackling whereas there is enough good with him to outweigh the bad.

If they do let him go, I hope the draft Ji'ayir Brown from PSU.
