I can't see Bradberry being re-sign Ed because that will result him being paid more than Slay and Slay then wanting a new deal.

You can make an argument that there are needs basically everywhere on the D - what they do in FA, BPA and positional value will shake things out. In terms DT, Fletch is cooked and Hargrave a free agent (also streaky)… I wouldn’t discount Carter especially if Anderson/Murphy are off the board.

Prepping for a Fangio 3-4? Davis on the nose to protect Dean?

Need another big 3-4 END to play the Fangio scheme.

How does the current Eagles defensive players fit into a Fangio 3-4 defense?

Hahaha F Brady

It helps that we have no major impending holes to fill in offense next year at least. Backup QB, RB, OL depth/development, maybe a WR/RB who can do returns. Not bad all things considered. We can spend most our draft and cap resources on the defense with the possible exception of a early/mid round RB.

I would double down on RB is the 3rd round (ideally Charbonnet) and again in Day 3 (ideally Corum), although Charbonnet slipped in the rankings recently and Corum rose, so it may be Corum in the 3rd and Charbonnet later.

Byron Leftwhich is a bad offensive coach

RG

And now the refs have entered the Seattle/Tampa game.

We don’t really have Day 3 picks (just two 7ths) so unless they trade down and recoup some picks I don’t think they spend 2 on RB.

Haha Seattle.

Jesus Geno.  Throw the ball away, FFS.

Bucs trying to give the Seahawks a chance here.

The new players along the DL translate well, Fletch certainly and Hargrave maybe might prefer to play in a 1 gap system with less run responsibilities rather than a Fangio 1.5 gap.

Was gonna say that would’ve been a weak penalty. He went for the tackle right as he began his slide

Nice catch by Goodwin.

Geno made 2 incredible plays on 4th down to score on that drive. He's been legit this year.

Howie tends to try to fill holes in free agency and build for the future with draft choices. Question for next year is do they see McPhearson as a #2 CB.  Doesn’t mean they don’t draft a CB if the BPA, just that player would likely be viewed as a Slay replacement.  No S bench to speak of so that suggests at least one extension.  At LB, do they extend White or Edwards?  Quite possible because neither is likely to draw a high salary in free agency. But one or both depends on how they view Dean and if the Taylor experiment is over.  DL is a real issue.  At RG, how do they view Driscoll, who now seems to be a swing T and Sills.  Note Opeta is a FA.  A wild card is Toth, who didn’t look bad at the reps he took at G.  He is a RFA.  Given he is still on PUP, a Ward type signing isn’t out of the question. My guess is they extend Seumalo and try to extend Opeta.  RB seems to likely be a FA signing but not necessarily Sanders. Wouldn’t be surprised at another Scott extension at a similar cost.

Feels like that win against the rams is gonna give the Bucs some momentum. Still at 5-5 but after the bye week they have a schedule that allows for them to finish pretty well. at cleveland, vs. saints, at niners, vs cincy, at Az, vs. Carolina and at atlanta. The two toughest games are niners and cincy. I think they could wind up splitting them.

Keep the Saints out of the driver’s seat.

Tampa did their job. Go Steelers!

Actually have the Steelers game as an option today along with Doug at AR.

PIT is the default CBS game here in Philly usually opposite the Eagles, but now that I care - nope.

Don't want the Bucs to get too hot though. Ideal is Atlanta wins the division and Tampa misses the playoffs, but I sincerely doubt that happens.

Given how Howie successfully navigates UDFA territory I suspect we will have at least a half dozen promising/viable rookie prospects in the Rookie Training Camp.  I personally would like to see TCU's QB Max Duggan amongst the UDFA signings.

With that said, I expect Howie to move around all three days of the draft.

Phillies interested in Bogaerts. Much rather have him than Turner, I can't Fing stand Turner. Hate that guy. Bogaerts is such a good offensive player. Would kill in this lineup.
