How does the current Eagles defensive players fit into a Fangio 3-4 defense?

I think Williams is suited to play the 5t

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Need another big 3-4 END to play the Fangio scheme.

The new players along the DL translate well, Fletch certainly and Hargrave maybe might prefer to play in a 1 gap system with less run responsibilities rather than a Fangio 1.5 gap.

What is your opinion of RLC's comment about a big 3-4 END?

If we're going to play 3-4, with a 2 high coverages, the DL better be stout. We need less explosiveness, and more beef/pocket pushes. This is especially true given that our OLBs/EDGEs are not strong (Graham is, but can't rely on him long-term)

I’d agree, a 5T/DT who could play 5T-3T would be a nice replacement for Fletch -or- a NT to allow JD to get some snaps out there. Carter fits the bill and the UGA front is similar to our own.

PIT is the default CBS game here in Philly usually opposite the Eagles, but now that I care - nope.

Yeah, the Steelers games are usually shoved down our throats here. Not today, although this would be a Fox game. CBS can’t seem to stop showing them.

Bills open with a 3 and out.

Disappointing start. Couldn't stop Jefferson on 3rd down.

He grabbed his hamstring after the TD. Something to keep an eye on.

Pretty sure that was part of his td griddy celebration.

Steelers up 7-0!

Howie tends to try to fill holes in free agency and build for the future with draft choices. Question for next year is do they see McPhearson as a #2 CB.  Doesn’t mean they don’t draft a CB if the BPA, just that player would likely be viewed as a Slay replacement.  No S bench to speak of so that suggests at least one extension.  At LB, do they extend White or Edwards?  Quite possible because neither is likely to draw a high salary in free agency. But one or both depends on how they view Dean and if the Taylor experiment is over.  DL is a real issue.  At RG, how do they view Driscoll, who now seems to be a swing T and Sills.  Note Opeta is a FA.  A wild card is Toth, who didn’t look bad at the reps he took at G.  He is a RFA.  Given he is still on PUP, a Ward type signing isn’t out of the question. My guess is they extend Seumalo and try to extend Opeta.  RB seems to likely be a FA signing but not necessarily Sanders. Wouldn’t be surprised at another Scott extension at a similar cost.

They can do better than Scott at this point.  Ideally an experienced RB who can also return punts ala Brian Mitchell.

Kadarius Toney just got his first NFL receiving TD. Bet he's glad to be in KC now.

Good game in the elements in Buffalo.  Gotta keep the outdoor stadiums alive.  This is football.

Bills lead!

No Birds for the 2nd Sunday in a row.   I guess I'll scoreboard watch today.  We need the Bills, Greenbay and Houston to take care of business.

Vikings are going to be looking for a QB this offseason

Snow in Buffalo. Now this is football weather,

Same old Cousins🤣🤣🤣

Scott is pretty cheap and I expect a similar deal.

Not sure how the zebras couldn't/didn't see the helment on helment contact on that tackle at the end of Najee Harris' 35 yard run.  His head snapped around more than 90 degrees when the top of the defender's helmet hit Harris' facemask

Steelers up 10-0 on Aints

You know, the same way that people don't recognize faces or poor vision.
