Dillard will be fine, maybe miss first month of the season. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Dillard may or may not be soft, but he's also not strong. What if he has even less power?

It's a forearm fracture. His power will be fine.

But what if he becomes paralyzed? Then what?

Jason Peters played on a torn bicep. Andre Dillard tapped out because he had to play RT.

Let's not pretend that Dillard is the type of player to gut things out.

Now that we have ta full 53-man roster, it is interesting to contemplate the 7 game day Inactives.  My first projection came up with eight (8), which is one too many.  They are:

Ian Book
Andre Dillard
Josh Sills
Marlon Tuipulotu
Kyron Johnson
Josh Jobe
Josiah Scott
K'von Wallace

So which of those eight would you activate.

Also, since there are 8 O-linemen active (Johnson, Mailata, Driscoll, Dickerson, Seumalo, Opeta, Kelce and Jurgens) they can activate 48 players rather than 46.  My guess is that they let both Jobe and Scott rest their injuries and bring up Covey and Harris as the two additional game day actives.

I’ve been wondering about that too. I think we’re probably in agreement, although I think Dillard might go on IR. Of that list, I would definitely activate Wallace. We’re really thin at safety.

I am fairly certain that Covey will be activated to return punts (Sirianni as much as said so in his press conference if you can read between the lines) so he would be the fifth wideout in uniform on game day, which is more than enough.

Gotta sign bo Melton as WR5 and return specialist.

Is he still out there? Makes to much sense.

Really bummed about the Dillard injury. The whole point of not trading him was LT insurance. I guess Driscoll is first up if one of Mailata/Lane go down.

Seumalo can also play RT if needed, although of course that creates a hole at RG. Maybe Jurgens slides in there.

The short term solution for Dillard is Driscoll and Clark on PS.  Clark is probably more realistic than Driscoll to play there but would need the game day activation vs other needs like PR, etc

lol if hes gutless and super soft and weak then what are you so bummed about in the first place?

I think he went to Seattle's PS.

Because he's better than what we have, and both our starting OTs have a history of injuries.

I'd rather Driscoll than Clark. Clark has looked so bad everytime he's gotten in there. Driscoll looks good but can't stay healthy in his career.

You want him to gut out a broken arm?

How are they gonna get banged up? blocking guys lol.

We can split a TE out wide and have them block if need be.

4WR's is plenty enough when you consider how much we're gonna run

You know they're gonna get rolled up on when Hurts decides to pull and run even though they're wide open. They'll turn around to start blocking and then whammo, Hurts is rolling up the back of their legs as he gets taken down.

oh yeah. Purdue may have also lost the game on a horrible, wrong replay call.

Assuming you're talking about the tight end call where the ball hit the ground?  Just curious how was that the wrong call?  Also should this be a targeting call

you're trolling right, you gotta be trolling with some of the names you want.

A 7th rounder who cant crack the lineup on one of the worst teams in the league but you wanted him here?

Couple days ago on a dude who's been cut from 2 bad teams, cleared wavers and ended up on a PS, but you think he should be here?

Gotta be trolling.

Melton has return experience. And ran a 4.34 40 at the combine. He's a guy you add to the end of your roster as a lottery ticket. It costs nothing to bring in him, so why not? He also has gunner experience, so he can contribute in multiple ways.

He'll be returning your packages this time next year when he's working for UPS cause he's no longer in the league.

The idea of 32 GM's, 32 Head Scouts, and 32 Head coaches(along with hundreds more) being wrong and someone on this board being right frustrates the piss out of me.

It's not about being wrong or right you dolt, nobody thinks he'll contribute much of anything as a WR. He could be the 53rd man on the roster, who is brought in for special teams purposes. Happens all the time.

cool, lets go get a guy that no one else wants. I'm in. you convinced me.

Yes, guys are never signed from practice squads ever. You're so smrt

That would be where I'd lean with Goedert/Stoll providing assistant as needed.  Clark has been barely ok but is a bit of depth I suppose. Both better options than Jason Peters though

Didn't get to watch the game last night, how did Slovis look?

Driscoll has played RT for the Eagles before, and frankly, I trust him there more than Clark.

I didnt think he looked that good tbh. His big plays came from short passes that WRs made big plays on. I actually thought the WVU QB Daniels was the better QB he just had absolutely no pass blocking.

We run a college style offense.  Those premium WR’s we have aren’t going to get the targets they want.

I know that, but I also don't think it would be a bad idea to have an extra guy on the bench should someone go down with an injury. We aren't going to ruin the 53 by having an extra WR around.

By the way..any word on who our kick returner is going to be?
