Hate to say it, but the Colts can play defense and they had their best OL performance against the Raiders. It’s not a gimme anymore.

No it really isn't a gimme at all. And Taylor is a very very good RB. This team needs to regroup and bounce back. If they lose on Sunday they could slip to another few defeats.

Taylor will own this old overpaid dline with Gannon's dumb fn scheme

This is why I wanted a loss. This leads me to believe it was being talked about in the locker room which is not good psyche for the team, imo.

I hope the fans in attendance tossed him some liquid refreshments after such a week officiated game.....

We are beating the Colts next week.

Really? I assumed getting yanked down by your face mask was a 15 yards penalty. Silly me. But he couldn't grab that flag fast enough after Heiney gets school yard pushed. If that. He looked excited to throw that one.

What is your point? I already said both were penalties, one wasn’t called. One was. It’s the NFL.

Few things that have made me feel a bit better after this loss.

Losing to a division rival sucks, especially when it’s your rival that ruins your undefeated streak. But if it’s any rival I’m really glad it was Washington & not NYG or Dallas.

After the 2020 season, I felt like we were at least 4 years away from being a competitive football team again. It’s crazy that 2 years later we’re a Super Bowl favorite

we’re 8-1, only 2-3 more wins and we’ve clinched the playoffs.

That saints pick still has a high probability of being a top 10 pick

We can rationalize all we want but this team is not a Super Bowl favorite in my eyes. They have a lot to work on.

Ok and that’s fine. They were bad tonight. It was still a late hit. And people would absolutely whine if that was Hurts and it was not called.

I like it when refs make the right calls against the other team.

I want a first round bye

Looking ahead but San Francisco would be an absolute nightmare matchup for this team in the playoffs. That’s going to haunt me for the next two months if it shapes up that way.

As long as they hit him in the head he can't throw a flag. If someone brushes him walking past him though all bets are off.

Still waiting for Robert Quinn to make a play. Looks like he’s washed.

Every team has a lot to work on. The super bowl is wide open & Eagles have one of the best records. They’ve already beaten the two main threats in the NFC.

I think they can beat any team but not if they turn the ball over and can’t stop a team on 3rd down.

Agreed. He's a safe option but I think you need more than that. We need something from the return game and through 9 games Covey hasn't shown a thing. Our starting field position is so so bad and a big part of that is the returns. They just aren't there.

To be fair no body on the eagles has done anything in two years in the return game.

It was a disaster last year andis this year.

Michael clay needs to be fired, starts the game with a roughing the punter penalty that extends the Washington drive, then continues to never have any blocking schemes that ever open anything up, I mean when covey gets tackled it's always like 5 guys gang raping him and I always think where the heck is the blocking.

Good returners make the first guy miss but covey never gets the chance to make the first guy miss because it's always 10 guys on him all at once, you could put Devin Hester back there and eagles fans would be yelling for him to be cut, there is never any blocking.

Covey is no world beater by any means but I don't think he's the problem with the return game.

I can recommend some 7-step programs that would help with that.

It'll be awhile. As long as he gets on one of his dominate streaks during the playoffs

Yea. Haven’t seen much juice at all from him.

On the bright side, I lost a fantasy football matchup because of Goedert’s fumble.

My point is that it was a poorly, one sided officiated game. we were robbed. Hard.

What’s important is how the team reacts moving forward.  People forget the Eagles were tied with the Texans at halftime.  Hurts didn’t play well — the pass that should have been intercepted against PIT got intercepted tonight.  Hopefully he learns from it.  Guys making terrible plays with zero game awareness like Watkins and Graham.

Their football has not been up to standard the past 2-3 games.  Learn from the loss and re-focus.  Who cares about the Commanders?  They’re 4th in the division.

Tbh I don’t think we beat the colts with how we’ve played the last 2 weeks. They are still better than the Texans talent wise and on par with the commanders. Ryan at Qb makes it worse cause he’s still better than ehlinger. He at least can get Pittman and Campbell involved at times. Have to force him into turnovers and with how we are tackling and playing the run I’m not sure you are gonna get a lot of passing attempts from Ryan unless you get out to a big lead. And Taylor looked like his old self finally.

Uhhh ok.

Back to my point if that was Hurts getting hit and it wasn’t called everyone would be complaining…

What really does it for me is they were so excited to throw a ticky tack flag even after seeing on replay over and over how bad they had already screwed us..
