We lost a one-score game with some unlucky bounces and questionable refereeing.

The sky isn't falling.

I think the defense is legitimately cause for concern — regardless if the bounces would have gone our way tonight.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

What this team now needs to do is it needs to regroup. For 8 wins we heard that they left points out there and they need to improve. Well tonight it came to bite us and they need to respond. And if they don't on Sunday then it's going to be a long end to the year.

My wife might have a problem with that lol. Although her cowboy fan ass is thrilled

Shouldn’t be.  Her team is now closer to last place than first in the division

But we saw trends that we've seen in most games. And it came off the back of a bad performance against Houston last week.

The sky isn't falling and you're right we in effect lost a one score game despite bad calls and a sloppy game. But I don't think we can just brush this one off and ignore the real issues.

That seems to be the debate.  What are underlying problems versus issues specific to this game/opponent.

The roughing call was the correct call by the rule.

Heinicke absolutely flopped to sell the contact and is a little bish boy for celebrating baiting another player into a roughing call.

Both can be true.

You didn't answer the question. You think it was a fairly called game? Yes or no. Easy question.

Just saying we didn’t lose this game due to the officials.( We also benefitted from imo a BS OPI call too.) They definitely didn’t help matters but we played like dogshit defensively, special teams is a disaster (has been) and offensively we had way too many dumb moments like quez fumbling a ball after his catch

Btw, I've been critical all year about our lack of second half offense. All the people who told me to not "worry about it" or "we're up and running clock".... worried now? Today was a good test to see how they would respond playing behind

I definitely wouldn’t expect to fumble away the game moving forward. Those are flukes.

I don’t know, they still moved the ball. Goedert fumble on the missed face mask and then the fluke Quez fumble. I think they end up getting points on both those drives.

I think they get points on the Quez fumble. It was still a good test and I'm 50/50 on how well they handled it.

Until he gets at least one block we'll never know...and who the heck else  would the eagles put back there🤷‍♂️.

At least he's pretty sure handed and doesnt let the ball go over his head for 20 extra yards ...😒

I mean I'm just not seeing it with him bud. I don't see that he's got the speed or that change of direction. He seems very very choppy when he's running. He isn't smooth and I just don't think he's got a big return in him.

What is whining about the refs getting you?

I'm pissed and I'm venting. Instead of acting like an idiot in front of my whole family in town for a wedding I vent on some Internet message board no one knows or cares about.

Tackling. We've said it all year. Run defense. We've said it all year. Lack of pressure. Special teams. Those are all trends from most games this year.

I think the OPI was legit (let’s remember how many times we’ve been called for much less). We definitely got lucky on the DPI that set up a TD.

I agree but it’s not like it wouldn’t get called if he didn’t flop.

Fair enough. But there’s a lot more to be frustrated about than the refs. They crap the bed on all 3 phases, coaching, etc. Terrible game all around.

Commandos have won 4 of their last 5 with the exception being a close loss to the Vikes.

They have been playing better since Heinicke has been in at QB.

But turning it over 4 times and a 40-20 TOP difference is awful.  I don't see them playing this bad again.  Just one of those games.

The Eagles are 8-1 and the loss was against the Redskins not the refs. Move on.

Looking ahead but San Francisco would be an absolute nightmare matchup for this team in the playoffs. That’s going to haunt me for the next month and a half if it shapes up that way.

Jordan Davis will be healthy by then.

Yeah.  Besides the poor defensive line play and the pick, the defensive secondary was less than spectacular tonight.  Washington had a lot of open receivers; often. Probably the secondary’s worse game of the season, imo.

So was I.  Kevin Harlan said it about 55 times during the Westwood One broadcast.  It becomes a distraction for teams, and the Eagles haven’t been playing their best, even leading up to this game.  They need to re-focus, hopefully get guys healthy on defense.

The 2 takeaways every game won’t last forever.  They need to play better.

This was a problem starting from training camp.  But hey injuries
