I’d guess that too but Tim McManus had this a tweet

Yea but that’s pretty standard Eagles procedure. They never just come out and say it until they actually do it.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

I’m guessing if it’s not done before Sundays game they likely think he’s back within 3 weeks. However I’ve seen the eagles think that before and guys missed 4 weeks and they didn’t IR him

UPDATE: I went back even further than 2010, all the way back to 2000. Between 2000 and 2010, there was only one LONG field goal attempt against us. It was from 62 yards and it was on the last play of the game. It was disgusting. You remember.

So since the turn of the century, opposing kickers have made 8 of 10 field goal attempts against us from beyond 55 yards. They would have been expected to make about 3.8 of them. They've more than doubled that.

Giants are coached well in all facets, can run the ball effectively and play good defense. As simple as that

Agreed.  But... Daniel Jones.

I expected them to be better last year.   But, they are exceeding all expectations I had for them.  And, in the midst of all this, they have played the 'hardest' schedule so far, based on their opponents winning percentage.

This is coming from a sports-betting perspective since I like to gamble on the games, but the NFL has pretty much become un-bettable due to the officiating. Not only do you have to beat the oddsmakers, who are already pretty damn good at their jobs, but the officiating adds an extra wrinkle into it that you have to take account for. It's amazing to me that they have legalized gambling and millions of dollars riding on these games, yet the officiating continues to get worse and is flat out impacting results of games. You don't see this level of incompetence nearly as much in the college game.

They have the benefit of instant replay and they still can't rectify most of the blown calls (i.e. the Goedert face mask). I would hope in the offseason they would add any 15-yard penalty to the review process whether it be a facemask, roughness, etc type of penalty. These are game-changing calls.

Always seems that they do make those kicks.

Yeah I know. Danny isn't the best, but I guess he does just enough and got better with his turnovers.

That's the one that bothers me.  They made DPI a reviewable call for a year or two... which is much more a judgement call, but grasping and pulling the face mask is not reviewable, even on a turnover.   And having your head turned and pulled in an unnatural direction can certainly lead to turnovers... in the self-preservation mode.

So that damn facemask not only costed us big time with the outcome of the game, it also costed us our starting TE 😡😡😡

I go see a patient and come back to Goedert being out for an extended period. What a disaster last night was.

Mentioned it first thing this morning...

and I am in no way blaming this loss on that officiating crew...

but that crew should not step foot on an NFL football field again.   That facemask, for example, was an egregious missed call.  High school officials make that call, and there's only 4 or 5 of them on the field, not 9.   I'd be upset if they showed up to do the local HS game.

Exactly and at home, that is a fraud QB

Interested to see how Hurts responds next week without Goedert.

Its a big loss for the offense in both the run and pass

we got no maddox. We got no goedert. Swoop’s head is falling off

I don't think Commies are good. I think they got lucky by a lazy and really bad game by Eagles. Refs certainly helped Commies

I still think we can beat anyone on the schedule and anyone in the NFC

I don't play for the Eagles.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, Mr. Nova, but Fletcher has contracted what's known as Ryan Howard Disease.  Symptoms:  get paid, get fat, don't care.

Ryan Howard's "disease" was related to a bad ankle... but sure, you can oversimplify it.

Hurt the ankle in 2010 at second base.   Same ankle he tore the Achilles on in 2011.    Pretty sure that never recovered, and the injury being to his left ankle dramatically impacted his power, as that was his back leg.

There will be no consequence from the NFL for missing that penalty.  I expect that the Eagles may see that same crew in the playoffs.

What a bust

But I would still claim him and get rid of Covey

So, what you are sayin' is not every Clemson WR is a home run?

It's confusing because facemask is an easy penalty call to make.  I think the question is the who makes the decision to ask for a review.  Of course, I am not sure the Rules provide for any limit as to when an officical can call a penalty.  I do not think that an official would be prohibited from throwing the flag after seeing on the replay.  The non-call isn't reviewable but I do not think time to call a foul ends until the ball is set for the next play.
