They had a letdown game.  It's not the end of the Universe.  The Perfect Season with a 17 game season is damn near if not impossible.   It was fun to see how far they would get but they already made Eagles History.  No Eagles Team started 8-0.  We are in uncharted territory now with how far they can go.   This reminded me of the Steelers loss from the 2004 season.  That team went on to win their next 6 games.  The Birds still have 8 games left.    Now that the whole Perfect Season thing is over, the Eagles can just focus on the main goal.   Which is winning Division Champs, #1 Seed and Bye Week.   They still hold the tie breaker over Minny and are ahead by a game against the Giants and 2 games up on the Boys.    

I didn't like how they got away from the Run against them. The Eagles will not have that many turnovers in a game going forward.  It was one of those wacky NFC BEAST games where things like this happen.   Defense also let Taylor dink and dunk us all night.  Too many long drives.  So not enough pressure. In the beginning when they brought it, they got a fumble recovery.  Gannon has been great the last 7 weeks but the Week 1 version showed up last night.   It was a glorious two months of Winning.  But it's Nov/Dec time, it's going to be a battle the rest of the way.   Brandon was right.  They can't let it come down the Refs who were terrible.   The Eagles left at lot of out there now let's see how they handle adversity.   The Colts are next.

It's confusing because facemask is an easy penalty call to make.  I think the question is the who makes the decision to ask for a review.  Of course, I am not sure the Rules provide for any limit as to when an officical can call a penalty.  I do not think that an official would be prohibited from throwing the flag after seeing on the replay.  The non-call isn't reviewable but I do not think time to call a foul ends until the ball is set for the next play.

So since the turn of the century, opposing kickers have made 8 of 10 field goal attempts against us from beyond 55 yards. They would have been expected to make about 3.8 of them. They've more than doubled that.

Maybe just make it part of the coaches challenge rule set. Like a red flag could get tossed 1x per game for the review of a potential personal foul penalty and don't complicate it more than that. Lose a TO if the challenge is lost..

They did that crap for PI challenges and the refs were little ****es and called almost every challenge as call stands.

It is also not very energy building for teammates. Players want to see a teammate truck somebody or make a great move, it builds energy. Every time Covey touches the ball and gets trucked, I imagine his teammates coming over like "you alive little guy?" At least that is what it looks like. Not the way to go in terms of establishing a tone for a game.
