A chance, yes. But Eagles are a better team than any of those 4 and if SB is the goal they need to figure it out. Even last night with everything going wrong that could, they could have walked away with a Win with one less mistake. So if this thing snowballs over the next few weeks, it’s not a good sign, obviously.

People act like running the ball is the blueprint to beat us. Its not. Its only the blueprint to keep it close. Teams still need us to make a whole bunch of mistakes to actually beat us. If we dont beat ourselves, we dont lose to any of those other teams. We are by far better than any of them.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

Brandon Graham on wip tonight at 6 said something along the lines like it was almost a good thing they got a loss out of the way so the pressure doesn't keep building up about going 17-0. This Colts game is huge. They need to come out faster. We will know early on how aggressive we are against the run. Vikings Cowboys Sunday and going for a Vikes win.

I mostly agree but I am a little worried about Tennessee. And even the Packers to an extent. I think both will give us more trouble than Washington did.

The only thing keeping me somewhat ok about those games is we are both home.

You are correct.  But, they were the better team last night... but didn't play like it and lost.   It could happen again.

The SB is always the goal... achieving the goal will definitely require them figuring it out.  We'll see how well they do that over the next 4 games.

Not buyers remorse but I'm not as sold on Jalen Hurts as I was earlier in the season.  Weeks 2 and 3 were incredible but he hasn't played up to that level again.  He's had some good games since and some eh, so-so games.  Lately a lot of his passes seem to lack any sort of oomph.  He's floating the ball.   Last night he did the old ignore the natural pocket and scramble in to a sack thing a few times.  I honestly have no idea what to think of him at this point.  I do know that I'm not ready to spend top QB money on him.

I also think the lack of downfield passing game is a direct reflection on his capabilities.  He dropped a dime right in to Browns hands last night that unfortunately he couldn't hang on to but he still isn't taking any of the semi deep passes.  There are no 15-20 yard passes.  It just feels like something is missing from the passing game.  I just don't know.

Hurts isn't the reason they lost last night but he shouldn't be crowned yet.  The media is ready to if they haven't already.  I think they need to take their foot off the Hurts gas pedal and see how he finishes the season.  I need to see more from him.

Odd post.  He just had two really good games coming out of the bye.  No 15-20 yard passes?  He has the 8th most pass attempts of 10+ yards.  7th most of 20+ yards.  4th most of 30+ yards  4th most of 40+ yards and 4th most of 50+ yards.  This all despite him being 18th in total pass attempts in the league.

You're one of the posters that had been fully negative about Jalen Hurts all offseason and has been chomping at the bit for a loss to air your grievances about him again.

Washington was the perfect storm where in addition to a strong running game, and us making a bunch of costly mistakes like the turnovers, and the penalty that didnt allow us to get the ball back again at the end, Washington also made plays in the passing game. No other team has been able to do that against us this year.

GB hasnt had a good run game since Ahman Green like 20 years ago. If they ran well one week against Dallas, that is an extreme anomaly. And they have no WRs. They might get a big play to Watson at some point, but they wont make a bunch of chunk plays on 3rd and longs like Washington was able to with McLaurin. Tennessee doesnt have any WRs either.

I dont see the perfect storm coming together for those teams where they are having success in BOTH the run and pass games, AND we keep turning the ball over. And those teams NEED all of that to be able to beat us.

🤔. The Eagles were running at a ridiculously high turnover rate this year.  And it seemed to really climax in the 2nd quarter in a lot of games, and teams fell behind and generally, couldn't overcome the hole they dug for themselves in the 2nd.   Last night, the turnover battle turned around against the Eagles in a big way.  Was it an anomaly, or was it regression to the mean?

Outside of the 2nd quarter, this team has been rather average by most metrics.  Granted, they were so good in Q2 that they didn't need to be much better than that the rest of the time.  But, this team still hasn't played a full 60 minutes of dominant football to declare unequivocally that they are far better than the rest of the teams on their schedule.

I'm not airing grievances at all.  I've given him credit all year long and I even gave him credit in that post.  I'm saying I'm not sure what to think of him.  Get off his D for one minute my goodness.

Not so sure.  Wouldn't be rooting ever the f'n Cowboys but wouldn't mind a Vikings loss.  Vikings come to Philly in Jan that is a win

Wouldn't of mind a Vikings loss last week but we know how that ended. And I have no problem facing the Vikings at home. Did you mean that's a Vikings win if they come here? They have trouble winning here.

It’s the blueprint for bad teams to keep it close. It’s the blueprint for good teams to beat us.

I’m going to finish this conversation the way he will, but with far fewer messages ….

Your racism is beyond pathetic and you should just go play Madden.   😂

Frankly, there's a chance.  Indy can run the ball.   GB just ran the ball effectively on Dallas.  Tenn can run on anyone with Henry.  NYG have Barkley.

Long story short... if they don't get the run defense figured out and they let teams run the ball like Washington did... then yeah, it is very conceivable that they will not do great in the next 4.

I kind of see them going 2-2 over this stretch. I figured they’d lose one of the two to titans or GB. And i thought the giants and eagles would split this year.

One thing to note: When you’re the outgunned underdog, you want to limit offensive possessions because more possessions favor the better offense, statistically speaking.

The Bills and Chiefs won’t give a damn about the Eagles run defense in all likelihood. They have QBs who can win the game on their own and have no problem putting it on their shoulders. Teams like Dallas and SF have run games to give us problems and defenses to slow us down. Minnesota doesn’t worry me as much because Davis when healthy will smash Garret Bradbury. Seattle would be an interesting matchup because their interior is weak, but Walker is so explosive and can make overeager LBs pay dearly, and Lockett/Metcalf are a handful.

No. A win for the Eagles which makes me almost neutral in the game.  If Dallas wins, that gives us a better chance of hosting  As an Eagles fan, I would hope they beat the hell outta each other

Just not seeing these good teams with strong running games anywhere in the NFL this year.

If the chiefs or Bills want to run the ball against us Id welcome it.

I’m cheering for Vikings to win that game. Currently the eagles and Dallas both have a loss in division. If the eagles and Dallas have the same record at end of the year it’s gonna come down to divisional record. So beating Dallas in Dallas is huge but also don’t want it to come down to if you happen to lose to Dallas in Dallas and they wind up being 5-1 in division and you are 4-2 with the same record then you lose the tiebreaker.

We just watched not a good run team smash us last night. We watched the Texans without any good players other Pierce run all over us.

Teams don’t have to be some amazing run team to control the game against us. They just have to be patient with the run game, and they better slow down our offense.

I'm thinking further down the road.  Right now, they currently have the same record as the Vikings.  Would prefer to host that game.  Dallas is a couple of games back.

The defense began stopping the Houston, and Washington run games in the 2nd half. Against Houston it allowed our offense to separate and win comfortably. Against Washington, our offense shot themselves in the foot repeatedly. That wont be happening on a weekly basis.

And we won’t be playing Washington and Houston either.

But this is gonna keep going in a circular argument…
