Washington averaged 3.9 ypc coming in to the game against the Eagles.  Colts average 4.1.  Washington has Gibson and Robinson.  Colts have Taylor.  I fear the Colts' rushing attack more than Washington's.   And with Saturday at HC now, I think they will lean hard on the running game even more than before.  OL love to run the ball.

Taylor ran for 147 against the Raiders.

I realize Goedert has been a stud, but I wonder if his absence will help the offense to unlock a new dimension. Quez is under-utilized and Smith needs more downfield routes and targets.  They may push to those targets and areas of the field more aggressively without that possession underneath safety net that Goedert provides.

In this offense, Brown is the #1 and Goedert is the #2, with Smith as the #3.  And I’m not sure that’s actually what will carry them to their fullest potential.

I think the biggest strength of DG is how elite he is as both a receiver and blocker. They ran everything with him comfortably and defenses had no idea what he would be doing. Now it will be a lot more defined whether we will be running or passing based on which TE will be on the field.

Jack Stoll is going to have 50 yards receiving and a TD

I think we'll go run game heavy from the off.

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 30

Colts 21

Sanders 100+ yards and 2 TDs

Elliot to miss a FG and slay with a pick 6

So MLB free agency is pretty lame right now.. Trae Turner is the hot name for us but think we end up with Bogaerts

Yeah mlb FA is always slow paced as compared to the others. Bogerts makes sense due to the connection with dombrowski. I’m more curious to see what they do with the pitching staff. They just said they want a young kid to be one of the spots and going after a veteran at the other open spot. I’m hoping they go in on rodon

Didn’t he lead the NCAA in targeting ejections? Basically a guy who couldn’t make it off the Seattle or Carolina practice squads.  Was really hoping Noah Ellis was healthy and the Tate cut was for a spot for him on the PS.  Frankly though, since Tate was a big WR almost TE, I thought this space was for Jackson.  Speaking of Jackson, isn’t this a make or break week for him where he either goes active roster, cut or IR?

He has to be activated today. And Tate was on the PS. Jackson has to be activated to the 53 man roster, which still has an open spot from Maddox (and might have another spot if Goedert goes on IR)

Thank you. Joseph has no juice, but he can be a fire hydrant and just sit there.

Yeah hopefully it turns out no when they do the surgery but them saying it’s gonna slow him down next year feels like they are basically prepared for that. cause if it wasn’t TJ surgery it wouldn’t be as long of a recovery. I’m suspecting they do the same type of TJ surgery they did with Rhys

Taylor is a special back.

Joseph…lol.  Good lord we are down bad

FWIW category...  Fletcher Cox has had 2 seasons in his career where he had over 47 tackles.  That was his 3rd and 4th year where he had 61 and 71.. Since then his high is 46 back in 2018

Linval Joseph has had 10 seasons with over 46 tacklers including 57 last year and 62 the year before with a high of 77 back in 2016

Since we are signing Joseph, the roster sits at 53. This means either Tyree Jackson isn't getting activated, or Dallas Goedert is going to IR. (or some other unseen move is coming)

Ive lost any hope in Tyree Jackson. And all interest. I didnt want him getting activated anyway. He should be gone.

Last time he was healthy enough to play, he was disappointing. He was dropping balls that you expected him to catch based on his amazing pre-season displays of skill.

He appears to be not that good, and most importantly, never healthy.

He won't get a lot of snaps though.  Dude is 34 and hasn't been with a team all season.  How in shape is he?  How in 'football shape' is he?

This signing actually makes me a little more concerned about how soon we might see Davis back.

There's the roster spot.

Also explains why we had to sign Linval Joseph.

I'll take Mystery Moves for 1000, please Alex.
