Too much negativity whoa is me Philly attitude lately. Good news that Bryce won't need tommy john(as I've said for weeks now). And also, it seems likely Goedert won't have to go on IR or they'd have likely done it by now. The sports gods aren't out to get us, have some damn faith people.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

Every single team has weakness. And as we’ve seen 8 out of 9 games, running the ball to win against us is tough to do because we are really good in most other areas.

As well as Wash did running the ball and controlling the clock….we still likely beat them if not for Quez’s fumble. We won’t turn the ball over 3 times a week, but we do seemingly have an ability to generate 2 turnovers a week.

By and large, we have a sound foundation to win games (especially this year with how bad the general play has been).

I agree every team has a weakness or 2.  I've said before wouldn't shock me if KC and or Buffalo don't even make it to the SB.

Suh must want a bag to come back to the league and play. I always thought it was silly suggesting him but I'd rather him over Joseph.

You have a lot of catching up to do

Someone forgot to uninstall Internet Explorer.

Heard the Phils press conference when it happened, but just saw the Goedert "news." I'm gonna call BS on that one. A few reasons.

For one, he came back into the game on Monday night. If it was that bad he wouldn't have come back in. And even if he injured it, that wouldn't put you on IR. Don't forget, Alshon Jeffery played an entire season with a torn labrum in his shoulder. You can run routes and catch footballs with a hurt shoulder, even with something torn. Granted, it would hurt his ability to block, but they could easily just not have him block as much.

And with Elon's Twitter takeover and everything going weird, I'm guessing it was a fake tweet put out by a hacker.

I'm gonna say he misses a week or two. It just doesn't add up.

Sirianni's PC where he said Goedert was on IR was a deep fake too.

I think the backup NT topic is a bit overblown. This Dline was suspect against the run even with Davis out there. The interior Dline wasnt great against the run last year either, and its gotten worse. I dont want to say it and didnt think I would this year... Derek Barnett's injury is hurting us now. Having him and BG on the edge would help more than Sweat and Reddick, and TJ Edwards is getting exposed more and more each week. Add another year where we will be saying we need better LBer play in the offseason. I doubt we'll see what Dean is made of this year.

It's a big deal when the DCs whole D scheme is predicated on a NT eating up 2 blocks.

That is not Gannon's entire scheme. This defense was built to run multiple fronts. What they are finding out is none of these guys are good at stopping the run, and even when Davis is out there they struggle to take advantage of his double team.

Wait, you fell for the ole fake out press conference? Oldest trick in the book!

Good thing Hurts is going to whisper to Brown before the game that hes not throwing to him.

Big reason they went undefeated.

Yup including multiple fronts with a NT

I agree though outside of Davis none of the other pieces on front 4/5 are good at run defense.

Especially in the middle at NT and DT.

Cox has been miserable and Tui was never any good, Hargrave like I said is Interesting because he was a 2 gap NT in Pitt yet Gannon is using him more as a penetrating DT which he's been good at but not much against the run

Reddick has been pushed around in the run game, Sweat is just average there, graham is still good against run but seems Gannon uses him more on passing downs🤷‍♂️

Milton Williams has been invisible after talk about him taking the next step, not sure if he's being mis cast/used or just doesn't have it???

Linval at least shouldn't be getting pushed 5 yards back every play like Tui.

The whole DL is incredibly overrated. Been saying it the last few years.  There's no one to fear.  No one to game plan against and no one who can really change a game on the DL.

Dline hasn't been great since Schwartz

Paschal has also shown potential.  I don't think he's a gamebreaking WR but he's shown more RAC than I expected.  My fear is they will try to force things to Gainwell.

For the life of me, I don't understand why they try to force the ball to Gainwell when they have better options.  He's not a bad player by any means but geez, they purposefully run plays for him to get the ball.  Why can't they do that more for Smith or Watkins?  Hell, he's never even had a play over 20 yards.  His longest play this year is 11 yards.  He's scored some decent RZ touchdowns but he's not explosive.

Yeah this is what im saying too. But my point about backup NT being overblown is what backup NT is actually going to significantly help this Dline and LBer core? They are going to be bad no matter who you put in there at NT.

Yeah mlb FA is always slow paced as compared to the others. Bogerts makes sense due to the connection with dombrowski. I’m more curious to see what they do with the pitching staff. They just said they want a young kid to be one of the spots and going after a veteran at the other open spot. I’m hoping they go in on rodon

Rodon would be a huge get, and bring up Painter.

Linval at 34 years old can still 2 gap. Guy is a freaking mammoth.

Also, I want to point out that we are 0-1 since DownUnderMike's suspension. Just sayin.

I think they've tied Gainwell to their 2 minute package for some reason - that's $ time, rather see our 'base' guys honestly.

Oh god, didn't realize we were losing him for the Giants game but that is 4 weeks from now so makes sense.  We are going to end up losing this division.

No, we're not. Your hot takes are hot turds.

Taking on a division loss to the worst team in the division is worst case scenario.  Best case most realistic hope is that they go 2-1 in their 3 remaining division games.  If they go 1-2 or worse in those games then they aren't winning the division.
