Wheres Vince Wilfork? If we win a superbowl it will replace the ring his son stole from him!

back to being worried about Jordan Davis

Ankle sprain is a 4-6 week injury. Sadly looks closer to 6 weeks.

That said, the run D was so bad on Monday that you could tell me it's a reflection of Cox, Marlon, etc.

That would actually be awesome but no chance he comes out of retirement to play with anyone other than Brady.

Suh is just as good if not better than Cox at this point. Suh was pretty good the last couple years. Assuming he's in game shape, I'd hope he cuts into his snaps.

Yup.  I'm hoping it's just late notice on reaching out to Suh and they were looking to add ONE of them, not BOTH.

Howie has his faults, but he's aggressive when appropriate. This is a good move.

I would cut one of Patrick/Kyron Johnson, Sermon or Ian Book. Ian Book is not good enough for a roster spot.

But... they went out of their way to claim him.  And actually claimed TWO QBs.

Yeah. I never thought Davis was coming back in 4 weeks. They are handling him with kid gloves. I doubt he even gets back to 40% of snaps til next year. Suh and Joseph were the best DTs out on the street. Give em credit for attacking the problem. The sense of urgency is what I like.

They added both.

nope

Hopefully just go to a 4-2 from now on.

Sweat - Cox - Hargrave - Graham

Quinn - Suh - Joseph - Reddick

He caught the ball.   It is HIS job to hold on to it.  Period.  Why he fell over, that he fell over... none of that matters.   The ball got to him.  He caught it.  He needs to hold on to it.  Just stop.

he would  have. If he didnt go to the ground for the poor throw. I win. You stop.

To be fair Suh isn't really an NT. Seems like more of a "Cox hasn't been very good" move than anything related to Davis.

I love that after seeing the run D struggle that badly, Howie went out and signed not 1, but 2 DTs.

Hopefully they have a little left in the tank. Might be Kerrigans. But for right now, Im excited.

It’s an "our run D sucks D” related move

Suh might be trying to improve on Milton Williams role as better depth for Hargrave. Joseph is definitely more of the NT replacement. In reality, the poor run D is not a product of missing Davis. Really no one is doing a good enough job on the DL.

Both of these guys will be playing way less snaps than they are accustomed. Will keep everyone fresh with vets who know what they are doing. When Davis comes back, this rotation looks prrrretty good.

It’s a high ankle. I expect it to linger on a guy that size way longer than just 4-6. Hurts had a grade 1 in November and his lingered all the way through the playoffs.

He would have?   No, he needs to regardless.   No player other than the player with possession of the ball is responsible for fumbling the ball.   Quez had possession of the ball.  He then got up and ran without properly securing the ball.  If Quez couldn't safely secure the ball AND get up... that's on him to decide.  Then, while he's laying there and is touched down, we can yell about who is responsible for Quez falling down while the Eagles retain possession of the ball.   The loss of possession falls 100% on the shoulders of Watkins.  There's no way to absolve Watkins of it.  He had the ball in his possession and he didn't maintain that possession.  His fault and no one else's.

Ah... crap.

Suh '20-'21 highlights.  If he can bring this game, that will certainly help

Could be. I think the lack of a true (or good) NT without Davis is a factor, but Williams and Cox are a big part of the problem as well. Either way I'm happy they're trying to address the DL issues from multiple angles.

Ngata was bad.

Kerrigan was also disappointing last year, but had a good playoff game. Elite, older players can step up in small bursts.

Kerrigan was a complete waste last year.   His playoff game was the only time in the season he seemed to have a pulse, and might have been literally the only game that he showed up on the stat sheet at all.

I don’t think it’s related to Davis being back at all. They just need bodies.

I dont think it has to do with Davis. I think they are trying to address the disappointing performance of their DL by adding new players.
