If it really snows 6 feet there’s no way they could have a game there. It’ll be a miracle if they have power.

In fairness was probably for the best. There was supposed to be 6 feet of snow

Looks stinky

Hoping this QB turned TE is a game changer.  I know he won’t get many reps, but I’m hoping he is effective when he’s in.

Bills fans won't be pleased. Snow games with those nutjobs are the best.

If Ford Field is the league’s official go-to stadium for emergencies, why didn’t they play that Saints-Giants game there after Katrina instead of giving the Giants an extra home game? I’m still pissed at Tagliabue for that. They could have played that Saints home game anywhere in the country yet decided to play it in New York instead.

Tyree Jackson? My expectations are low.

Pretty sure they’re just not going to rely on the TE position nearly as much.

They should be able to manage for a few weeks while Goedert is out, as long as we don’t sustain another injury to a skill player.

No they aren't because they can't. None of their options are great. But they need to do enough to sprinkle them in.

I'm not against it, but I'm not overly optimistic about it either.

It has to be an upgrade over what we’ve seen the last few weeks.

I'm not sure it's the "go-to", but it is a dome and relatively close to Buffalo.  It also needs to be a time where the home team doesn't need the stadium at the same time.  I think they try to keep it, at least as much as they can, near to the original home field so that fans from the fringe zone of the region could potentially make the journey.

Katrina was a Saints home game.  Having the game at LSU's stadium kept it in LA at least.  Detroit is the closest place that has a stadium where the weather conditions shouldn't be an issue and is big enough to hold a good sized crowd.

Syracuse would be an option, but is likely dealing with the same weather concerns outside and isn't very big at all.

Not necessarily... it could be more of the same.

Bit of a long post incoming.

Had a fantastic trip to Philly this weekend. Drove down Sunday morning, through Buffalo and over to Syracuse, then straight down past Scranton and into Philly. Left Toronto at 9 am, and with a few stops along the way, eventually parked in South Philly at 7 pm. Good friends that I hadn’t seen in awhile so lots of good stories to tell, everybody had great bladder control, and only stopped for gas twice the entire trip; once on the way down and once on the way back. Though long, the drive was a lot of fun. Tons of dead deer though, all along the highways; far more than I see here in our rural areas.

My buddy booked us a place through Expedia, who booked through vrbo; we were to get a code for the lock on the door at 4 pm to check in. 4 pm comes and goes and nothing. The guy driving was the guy who booked so couldn’t check his phone too much, but we weren’t getting there till 7 so no biggie, yet…

6 pm we get the notification. Host has cancelled due to the house being to messy from the prior renter. Well that’s not good. Call to Expedia to find us alternate accommodations, we are put on hold and eventually the call disconnects after 45 minutes. City lights are now very visible. Luckily I find a place on air b n b just off broad street in south Philly. Closer to the stadium than our first place and cheaper too. Book it right away.

As we unlock the front door, Expedia calls back and can offer us (4 guys) 2 free hotel rooms for Sunday night only. Can’t refund the air b n b so we decline. Expedia gives full refund of booking.

Place was great, we picked up beers on the drive down, and we crack some as we settle in. Boys want cheesesteaks so we go to Genos. Was ok, not great, but hits the spot. 2 of my buddies are cops, so they enjoy the wall of police patches - and there was two Ontario based patches, OPP (our equivalent of state troopers and York region (the "county” directly north of and adjacent to Toronto).

We go grab some more beers and head back for the night, and stay up drinking and telling stories till 2.

Up the next day and off to the Rocky statue (none of the other guys have been to Philly before). Drove back down broad street to Chickies and Pete’s for lunch. Smoking hot server, but terrible service unfortunately. Took over an hour to get wings. Don’t like how you have to order fries separate from every food option (burgers and sandwiches should always come with fries). Wings were good when they arrived at least. Beer was cheap (I really liked Yuengling).

Back to the apartment to start pregaming at about 2….leave for the stadium at 530, take one subway stop down and the train is full of fans. Tailgate was a blast, there was a live rock band that’s hired out for night games by a guy in a giant RV. Chatted with a bachelorette party of 14, mostly from Orlando but bride is a golf instructor eagles fan from Philly….my dream girl. All of the girls and all of us guys are attached, so no pressure of putting on game.

Seats were in section 110, end zone, we get there just as the first punt is kicked and see the penalty, in our seats in time for first TD. Fly eagles fly.

Game didn’t go our way, but made friends in the stands, still had a great time. Left Tuesday by 10 am and took us the same 10 hours on the way back. Still have no voice today from cheering/yelling so much.

The last time I saw the Eagles in Philly was Reid’s first game back with KC and McNabbs jersey retirement, Thursday nighter, we lost. Still had a great time then. I already want to go back as soon as possible.

I am now 0-3 for in person Eagles games. Perhaps I’ll stop going, but I don’t really think so. It’s too much damn fun, even a loss.

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Welp - last game for you this season.

Seems pretty unlikely to me.

We will see.

The biggest concern of all, of course, is the coordinator.

I just can't get my hopes up for two 35 year old big boys who didn't spend any time on a roster or had a training camp. Both will be on IR by Tuesday.

Will either be available for Sunday at Indy?

Playing that game at LSU would have made sense. Playing it at Giants Stadium made no sense. But that was what Tagliabue did. It was unfair to give the Giants an extra home game, even if they did paint the endzones with New Orleans colors.

I just can't wait for Suh to step on someone at a dumb point in a game that costs us a nice fifteen yards.

That said, I do like the move. I think he's still got it and will fit in nicely with the line.

Finally replaced the void by Derek Barnett’s injury

Feel somewhat bad for Quinn. He’s not going to have a bye week all year. Chicago’s bye is week 14. So he’s playing 18 games

He better be playing 21

Does anyone practice?

Yeah, I don’t have any expectations for Joseph. Suh I could see doing some good things. It feels like he was weighing some options and wanted to play for a contender and maybe at the right price, too. But I don’t expect much with him either. Hopefully Davis is back soon.
