I don't know what to expect but maybe they get more out of Cox and Jernigan just be cutting down their snaps.  I hope they get more out of the Joseph signing.

Man, what could have been if he didn’t have that mysterious injury…

Like, I'm trying not to be mean, but stfu and know what youre talking about before hitting the submit button.

1) couple of those guys werent on the roster last week, so yes, it got a  lot deeper

2) They're 5th in QB sacks(Realistically 3rd since 2 teams played more than them), they allow the lowest QB rating in the league, and they have one of the highest QB pressure %'s in the league

3) they're 8th in rushing defense.

Literally everything you said was wrong

Pierce is 5th in rushing and a stud, had a good game.

Washington ran it 100 times and mixed in McLaurin making key catches to keep the chains moving.

Suddenly we’re the worst d-line and rush defense in the league.

Nevermind that only us and the Bills are the only teams top 5 in both offensive and defensive DVOA.

Joseph and Suh both seemingly were waiting for the right opportunity to sign. I wouldn’t take them not being on a roster as anything negative.

There is obviously a question of them getting into football shape, but both are vets and know what they have to do. Both signings were low risk high reward.

I think we’re 28th in rush defense DVOA. Not the worst, but not good enough either.

I’m sure Joseph had some opportunities for a PS spot, but I think Suh actually was a little picky. He can still play well, at least in spurts.

Of course that's what the player will say.  I think they both wanted to be on a roster rather than a PS.    I also think that Suh might have been a little picky with where he decided to sign.   But, I don't think either one had teams banging down the door to sign with them, and I don't think the Eagles gave either one much money to come in either.

The negatives are already there... neither is likely in game shape.   Both are in their mid-30s.  Great players once upon a time, but the question remains how much can reasonably be expected from either of them.   Kerrigan was a great player once too.  And we got absolutely nothing from him last year for the whole season, and he learned the system in TC.  DT might be a little easier to pick up in a matter of a few days than other positions, but they still will need time to get up to game speed.

Sure, but what’s the downside of signing them? It’s not like we had some young developmental player in the wings that they stole opportunities from. Like I said, low risk, high reward which is the ideal type of signing

I didn't say there was a down side.   I have been clear that this is a wait and see situation.  They might offer something more than what we currently have, but it might not either.  This certainly isn't a situation where we need to be heralding the greatness of these moves right now.  These could just as easily be viewed as 'desperation moves' as they could be viewed as 'get over the hump' moves.  Personally... I see these as moves that had to be made because the Eagles couldn't afford to just stand pat, especially with Marlon T going to IR as well (of course, he might have gone to IR to make room for one of these guys just as easily).   But, I don't see these as major moves that are definitely going to move the needle.   The move to add Ajayi in 2017 was a massively great move.  Improved on area that was strong enough, but could be stronger.  These moves look more to me like the trade for Golden Tate, except with a lower cost both in money and in draft capital (free).  So... we'll see how it all shakes out.  But, until I see them play well, I will remain skeptical that these moves mean anything at all.

The signings are good news, as long as it’s not a negative harbinger for Davis’ health.  It will be tough rooting for Suh though.

Suh was good last year. He's just no longer an all-pro.

Note: Suh had invested in crypto. Not sure how exposed he is, but he's someone who really likes money and may need the cash.

This is a real thing happening today.

lol ya dont say

I feel the signings are more about taking snaps away from both Cox and Hargrave. They are too old and not good enough to be constantly out there, especially last week with them hitting 70 snaps. The Eagles are looking at the long term and need to keep the DL as fresh as possible for the 2nd half. Teams are going to start running at them more, and they need a better rotation to even try to slow the run down.

Most players aren't spending their time hanging out with Warren Buffett

He’s all apparently a total whack job.

I vaguely remember a story about him side swiping a car and after that threatened the driver when he was confronted?

There were some other stories as well.

You made an idiotic statement. Who doesn’t like money?

Oh trust me I’m beyond expecting any kind of morality from the pro athletes I cheer for.

The same Warren Buffett that has always been skeptical of crypto? Doubt Buffett gave Suh the advice to invest in it.

Kinda have the same problem. Mine is still so dark it’s like watching a normal football game with sunglasses on. I think it might be because I have my TV set to theater mode for Prime but I’m too lazy to change it to see if it makes a difference.

Theatre or movie mode always makes it darker 🤣

Jernigan is still on the team?? He’s been beyond invisible.

Maybe you should take your sunglasses off inside?

Oh right, because one quarter in the red after seven straight quarters in the black, clearly means a company hasn't been profitable.

It really hasn’t.  You have to look at the balance sheet over time, not over two years and not even the last two years.

Compared to other social media platforms (except Snap), Twitter has been an underperformer.  As an entertainment media, its business plan is flawed.  Maybe Musk can fix that.  The problem is users.  The model doesn’t support subscription, but significant users versus casual users is pretty bad. With more platforms competing for less advertising dollars, their unfocused ad approach doesn’t generate the revenue.
