Yes, Joseph will, and Davis when he returns. Hargrave did when he rotated in at NT, but that's wasting his snaps.

Being able to rotate Joseph, Cox and Suh instead of Cox, Tulip and Wilson will make a big difference.

DT is going to be a draft priority.

We’ve invested too much in DT in recent years, while neglecting the secondary, edge and linebackers. I would hate another high pick on a DT

That wouldnt have been wasting his snaps vs Washington. Im not sure how many times they plugged him in at NT, but I wonder why they didnt do it more with Cox and Williams beside him.

Am I the only one who thinks most of the fault of the run defense is scheme? We concede the run. Teams recently have been stubborn enough to stick with it at 3-4 ypc. The DTs have to be better, but Gannon needs to adapt. Joseph or Suh aren’t going to make the difference.

Yes and no. The scheme slants toward defending the pass, but for the scheme to work you need a stout NT to make the run D passable. I don’t think the idea is to have a stout defense. Just not enough emphasis on it.

They are going to have to do something. The depth chart next year currently is Davis, Williams and Tuipulotu.

Says no one in #74.

Definitely an ugly number for a DL.

It really hasn’t.  You have to look at the balance sheet over time, not over two years and not even the last two years.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/274563/annual-net-income-of-twitter/

Compared to other social media platforms (except Snap), Twitter has been an underperformer.  As an entertainment media, its business plan is flawed.  Maybe Musk can fix that.  The problem is users.  The model doesn’t support subscription, but significant users versus casual users is pretty bad. With more platforms competing for less advertising dollars, their unfocused ad approach doesn’t generate the revenue.

You're moving the goalposts. You didn't say they haven't been as profitable relative to their competitors, you simply said "they haven't been profitable" which is objectively false. They have had positive net income for 7 of the last 8 quarters and 4 out of the last 5 years.

So what happens when Davis and or Tuipulotu comes back? Are we really going to carry 6/7 DT's on the roster?

I wonder if this is the last year for big Fletch.  Wouldn't surprise me if they try to bring him back one more time.  They shouldn't but it's the Eagles.

If he wants to play for close to minimum, I guess. Right now he's just burning cap space.

Scheme is a big part of it. Asking Cox/Hargrave/Williams to 2 gap....

Jernigan is still on the team?? He’s been beyond invisible.

Clearly I am racist against DT's.  I meant Hargrave.

Goodbye Marvin Wilson, someone gets moved to PS from active roster.

Semantics.

Any serious investor, especially in a tech company, looks at growth.  (When analyzing how strong/profitable a company is/will be, etc).  Twitter's growth/profitability ratios, especially for as old the company is, have been abysmal - among the worst (if not the worst) out of the major social media platforms.

(And I believe that was the point he was trying to make.)

Wilsons already on the PS. Not sure who would go from roster to PS out of the current group. Joseph and Suh are the only likely ones, if they decide to slum it on the PS.

Does PUP/Reserve take up a roster spot?

Mike Pitts would like a word.

Still doesn't make 74 look good for a DL.  I like DL in 90s or 50s.  Some guys fit different numbers.  Hollis Thomas was perfect for 78.  Jared Allen was made for 69.  Didn't mind Vinny Curry in 75, same with Juqua Parker.

Yeah, we know he isn't worth $9M anymore.

But there's a big difference between 40+ snaps (we're in trouble) and 25 snaps a game.

The same holds for Cox, he flashed to start the season, then wore down, his snaps also need to be rationed.

I think when Davis returns, they'll go 5 DT and rotate Davis and the three veterans to keep them all fresh, Hargrave is the only one who should be playing 40+ snaps a game.

If Will Anderson is gone, and Jalen Carter is sitting there for the Eagles...I don't know how they pass up pairing him with Jordan for the next 5-10 years.

Hopefully Marlon T stays on IR the rest of the way…and then finds himself off the roster next summer
