Semantics.

Any serious investor, especially in a tech company, looks at growth.  (When analyzing how strong/profitable a company is/will be, etc).  Twitter's growth/profitability ratios, especially for as old the company is, have been abysmal - among the worst (if not the worst) out of the major social media platforms.

(And I believe that was the point he was trying to make.)

If you're trying to say Musk was a moron for paying $44B for Twitter, we're in agreement. All more to the point that he's not nearly as smart as people seem to think.

I'm far from a super savvy investor, but I learned from Motley Fool that it makes sense to invest in companies that you use the products of.  It also makes sense to invest in companies that have real assets.   The crypto-craze never made sense to me.  What were they really selling?   They were selling an idea with no real product.  Never smelled right to me... and still doesn't.

In FTX's case, absolutely nothing. They took clients money and didn't actually invest it in the cryptos they claimed they were. Sure, lots of people were able to make big money with it, but scammers also make big money with their schemes. You can think of crypto as a stock in a make believe company, only the value of crypto is much more volatile than buying stock. You can't really go and buy a hamburger with stock, but you can sell your stock for fiat currency and buy that hamburger. Crypto is supposed to be a non-centralized currency, only nobody is buying hamburgers with crypto, they are cashing it in for a fiat currency and then buying the hamburger, which kind of defeats the whole point of a decentralized currency. This is a very simplified version of it, and sure there's places that will accept crypto as payment, but I'd bet they are converting it to fiat as soon as possible.

I don’t think a solid NT solves your problems. Playing as much 2 high as we do is crazy considering the lack of success we’re having up front. At some point you have to put a little more pressure on your secondary to get more guys around the LOS.

Hopefully Marlon T stays on IR the rest of the way…and then finds himself off the roster next summer

Sermon might find himself on the PS as well - the PS call-up option allows the 53 to be a bit imbalanced, so carrying 6 DTs isn't nearly implausible as it might have been pre-pandemic.

That is likely what will happen against good teams that can dictate versus passive defense and have the ability to curb our offense.

So what happens when Davis and or Tuipulotu comes back? Are we really going to carry 6/7 DT's on the roster?

Tuipulotu won't be brought back this year.  And if he is then whichever of the two recent new signings that is least effective will be cut.

I mean we just signed two mid 30s DTs off the street out of desperation because our rookie who was on limited snaps is going to miss 5 games or so, and the other DTs have given the coaching staff and howie no faith to work on.....yeah theyre going to have to do something in the offseason with this interior Dline.

There's no question that he believes he was smarter than anyone else.  It doesn't help that he seems to have this weird sycophantic fan boy base.  Of course the type of person that seeks that kind of attention obviously has defective character traits that make them subject to bad decisions.  We're just lucky that he wasn't born in this country at this point.

selling out to stop the run isnt really the way to defend modern elite NFL offenses. We are designed to defend those offenses. Until we rebuild the DL with effective younger players, it will be at the expense of surrendering a little more rush yards.

It's not like a team cannot sell out at certain points in a game without selling out in others.  It's not an all or nothing proposition.  The problem is that Gannon did a terrible job against the Commanders of doing anything to stop them on 3rd down.  When is playcalls weren't working, he didn't change anythiing up to make it more difficult on DC.

Who would you guys want at DT in draft

New Orleans Pick - Bresee or Carter
Our pick  - Jaquelin Roy, Gervon Dexter, or Siaki Ika

Carter 10/10

If Will Anderson is gone, and Jalen Carter is sitting there for the Eagles...I don't know how they pass up pairing him with Jordan for the next 5-10 years.

They should take Carter if he is available.

Damn would’ve been fun to watch

Yeah, exactly. He just sits in the same defenses with two high safeties over and over again and then is surprised when the Commanders possessed the ball for 40 minutes. Sometimes coaches make things harder than they need to be.

It will be interesting how this turns out, I feel like a lot of Elon Musk's success is based on him creating the image of real life Tony Stark - if he loses that shine... is Tesla a bit overvalued, is SpaceX really a great idea, etc... death spiral.

That is 100% correct.  Uber, Lyft, taxi, friend... or just find a way NOT to drink if you can't get a ride.

It took him 2.5 quarters to adjust against WAS, but the CBs started playing up more.

It continues to sound like snake oil in every form or fashion.

Also true, but I don't know how far he would have to do... he was speeding after all.  So, I assumed it wasn't just a block or two away.
