We were supposed to be in Indy right now visiting the children’s museum before hitting up the Lego store to design mini figs of the family.

Instead we had to put our dog down after a well-lived 17 years. He got sick Thursday night and never recovered. Pour one out for Rowdy.

My deepest condolences. The only negative of a dog is that they leave us too soon.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

  • Listen up blog.  Enough. These 2 ass clowns are suspended for 2 weeks.  They've both had warnings to quit the personal attacks.  There's a line between trash talk and just abusing other posters a

A lot of snaps were played last week by the defense.

In a usual week, 50% of the snaps is a much smaller number.

Yea, I don’t disagree with that. But still, you have Cox on a short week playing a ton and two guys over 34 who haven’t played in almost a year. It would make sense to call up someone to eat some snaps. It’s also a team with a good RB and a HC who was an o-linemen. They are going to run a lot and in turn likely have a lot of snaps.

I’m usually against taking a first round running back but I’m more open to it if it’s around pick 28-32 and he’s the best available player on your board. I wouldn’t do it if there’s better options/players available there but I’m not nearly as against it in that range especially if you think he can be a special type of back.

I think it’s Gibbs/tucker, or Corum at that point. I’m not opposed there either. But this is a team that has written off how many first round picks?  Raegor, arcega white side, wentz, Watkins, etc. we’re talking about one of two first round picks, unanimously perceived as a saquon level prospect.

I get the prevailing wisdom in the nfl is that backs fall off trees. Fine. Not this kind of back.

Dalton Kincaid from Utah is a TE I’d be interested in drafting to backup Goedert. Not sure where his drafting range will be though

That was a hell of a play by Phillips. Oregon is lucky the receiver was able to trip him up otherwise he was gone for a pick 6

nice response by the Oregon defense to get their turnover.

That is correct.  The defense stayed on the field for long period of time, the Commanders' game plan.  Cox and Tui both played a lot, not effectively I may add.  Adding Joseph and Sud is to boost up the middle.  They may not play a lot as new comers to the DL, but keep the snap counts down to everyone should help.

Guessing the inactives are

- Book
- Jobe
- Sills
- Opeta
- Sermon

Suh should be active no matter what IMO. If we don't need him, he doesn't need to play. We don't need QB 3 or RB4 (we won't even use RB3). Jobe is hurt.

Sometimes... it doesn't have to be complicated.

If the Eagles are actual contenders they win this game by 3 scores.  Anything less, combined with last week, it’s time to lower your expectations accordingly.  Don’t think 2 40 year olds will make much difference on defense.

I can't think of a time when a former player walked straight into an OC role without coaching in the college or the pros

BTW funny how that works.

Jeff Saturday just recently for the Colts had zero coaching experience in the NFL or College and landed a HC gig. LOL

Coaching was a huge part of the loss against Washington. The Eagles issue recently is going away from what made them successful.....the run game. The coaching staff needs to get away from the mindset they need to show off Hurts passing improvements (which I will say he does have bad ball placement still to work on) and game plan what led us to the 8-0 record.

In the end the Birds and Hurts even though I like Hurts and his improvements are not a team that will win games dominating the passing game. I won't even go into defense, most know my thoughts on Gannon and this soft defense scheme. All I can say is I hope a team is dumb enough to give him a HC Gig next year and Vic Fangio is next in line.

Agreed.  I don’t see this team going far in the playoffs with Gannon as the DC.  Get some young studs on the D line in the draft, move on from Gannon and then hopefully we’ll be in business
