Win the division is the first rule for getting a high playoff seeding.  DAL can still get a tiebreaker over the Eagles, easier than MIN can

I want the #1 seed, Dallas can go F themselves, but we need a MIN loss.

Too many people are assuming we’re a lock to even win the NFCE. #1 seed is great and all but this team has some serious issues right now. Let’s just win the division and go from there. Difference between 1 seed and 2 vs the 1 seed a 5. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves.

Lol…

this is the NFL… Every win is a good win. They definitely needed to prove that they could do this.  They were losing for 59 of the 60 minutes and pulled out a win

Ok, but my question was in response to "could not be happier”. This game left a lot to be desired, and plenty room to be happier.

My God you are such a laughing stock. If you are thankful for his performance today you don’t understand football.  It’s so obvious the coaching staff does not trust him to throw the football.

I think there may be some of that.

But with the best LB Leonard on IR, I believe they game-planned those runs by Hurts.  They were called throughout the game.

Focus one game at a time. The packers next week are going to give you their best shot as their playoff lives and season depend on it. That’s not going to be an easy game. We should win but i suspect GB is going to give you their best shot with the season on the line

There are 7 games left: Packers, Titans, atGiants, atBears, atDallas, Saints, Giants.

Minnesota's schedule is too hard to finish 8-0 including today, so any 6-1 combo gives us home field advantage.

If you're feeling conservative and feeling a 4-3 stretch for us, that puts us at 13-4. We'd need 2 Dallas losses, or 3 Vikings losses to get homefield. Looking at their schedules, 3 Vikings losses and 2 Dallas losses is absolutely possible.

Oh I certainly know that it was not a very good game by them.  But sometimes those are the best kind.  You get the win, and prove something, yet there is no room to be left puffing your chest out.  I think these players are smart enough to know that they stole one here.  Plenty not to like on that film

i’m just specifically talking about the kind of game that they proved they could win

Can you explain for this overseas fan, is this the infamous " experience the ecstasy of winning, then the agony of reading about it " 😄

Quick thoughts...

-- Nice to see a game-winning drive by Hurts. Frustrating it comes against an inferior opponent but still nice to see him step up.

-- Offense has to adjust without Goedert. I don't know if that's more under center/pistol stuff, spreading out the pass game, or whatever, but something has to change. They lucked out today.

-- Two straight loser performances out of AJ Brown. He's the best receiver we've had since TO, but he's gotta be that guy all the time. No excuses for that fumble.

-- Joseph and Suh can still play. Potentially huge for this team down the stretch, especially if Davis is hampered.

-- Those signings should inspire Howie to address other glaring needs (PR, nickel back, pretty much everywhere on STs coverage units). Losing Maddox has been brutal.

-- Graham and Watkins made two of the biggest plays today. Nice bounce back game.

I liked the physicality the DL played with today. The offense was all out of sync. It looked like it was a combo of hs offense/just winging it for much of the game. All and all a W on the road off of a short week is good

Either outcome "benefits” the Eagles, but we are not a lock to win a tough division with 7 games left.

We still have Dallas once and NYG twice, so the "2 game lead” is not reality unless we win.

Go Vikes.

It was sort of frightening how much they missed Dallas Goedert out there today

That’s fair. I’m at the point where I fully expect a high seeding, so I’m looking more long term than week to week.

I’d actually look into signing Jared cook. I’m through the second quarter of re-watching the game none of our guys are very inspiring at Te. Someone on here mentioned we need to attack the middle of the field and they are right. Could’ve really used goedert today in the middle of the field to extend drives. I don’t love cook but he’s competent and was a nice receiving threat for herbert last year. He’s still an upgrade over jackson, Stoll and Calcaterra in the passing game.

Me too… All the more reason to be happy that they could win a game like this. They are not going to blow everybody out in the playoffs.  Not likely anyway

Romo and Nantz are sucking the Cowboys' Ds harder than a couple of shop vacs

I just really hope Green Bay remembers how bad they are next week. This team could use a "get right" game.

The Colts have a bottom 5 offense (part of that is the Ehlinger games, so maybe bottom 10) and a top 10 defense. That's how today's game felt.

Very true

Their season is on the line big time next week. They go to 4-8 they aren’t going to get one of those wild cards unless seattle/niners, Dallas or giants completely fall off. That said they also lose tiebreakers to Washington, giants. They also have Miami and Minnesota week 16 and 17 so they really can’t afford to lose. So I’m guessing it’s going to be a dogfight

It certainly will be if we play like we did today.
