He's still playing with a cracked rib, missing his 2 best receivers most of the season, and I don't think that coaching staff does him any favors.

Yep. Give him their weapons,  OL, and coach him up.

There is a reason the Chargers would hang up but the Eagles wouldn't in a Hurts for him trade.

The entire sequence from about the 3 minute mark was ludicrously foolish time management.

Players not the coaches saved the day. 4th and 21 fixes a lot of defensive shortcomings.

Thank you Graham for that awesome pass rush and thank you to the jittery Colts OL.

On the pretend QB sneak, my biggest issue with it was the formation.

You can argue the idea in general was bad.

But if they had come out in a formation that looked like they might run a play, maybe it would have had a chance at working.

They came out in the victory formation nearly guaranteeing a QB sneak was the only thing they could try. And from a long 2 yards out it just didnt seem very likely they would snap the ball. Indy knew they werent actually going to snap that ball. Different formation may have made Indy a little uneasy.

I actually skipped it bc i brought a gross cold back from a business trip.

its a nice clean stadium. Tame by philly standards. At the monday nighter a few years ago it was the second half before anyone flipped me off!!

I've gotten sick on both of my business trips I'm the last 3 weeks. Don't know what's going on.

Who was he yelling at? Colts or Eagles fans

Can't tell for sure obviously, but most of the fans in that area are Eagles fans and we've seen him pump up Eagles fans in away wins in the past.

Herbert just can't seem to take that next step. Insane talent, but something's always missing with him.

To be fair, Hurts wouldn't look great with AJ Brown and Smith out on top of a banged up line.

Not that this is on Sirianni, but what about coming out of halftime with a shot play drawn up and Mailata and Dickerson double teaming a guy to leave Sanders blocking Yannick 1 on 1 for 4 seconds? Either a mix up by Mailata or a ill-conceived play design.

A lot of people in here picked up on that too

I also thought Hurts drifted out of the pocket a little bit on that play.  Was anyone open downfield?

Our immune systems probably haven't recovered yet from masks and there is a ton going around. Freaking hand, foot, and mouth is out there.  It's nuts.

Yup i said this a couple pages back to manu when discussing it. That was my biggest issue with it. Made no sense and the colts seeing that formation had to know no way they are snapping this.

If you go back and watch it, it really was a really long 2.  It was also formation similar to a victory formation. And there was no chance they were snapping out of it. I wish i had a pic of it cause I’d post it someone who does should. Pretty sure it was a design similar to what victory formation looks like when tried to draw them offsides.

So I was wrangling my toddler most of the game so clearly my focus was not perfect, but am I wrong in saying that both Suh and Joseph looked better than Cox?

I'd have to look again, but there was an opportunity for Watkins to get a huge gain, if not a TD.

No, Cox is washed

It forced the Colts to stack the box. There were no WRs out wide at all. So you need not 1, not 1 1/2 but every bit of 2 maybe 2 1/2 yards. And you are purposely going to bring everyone in to the line? Youre not snapping that. Is not going to work.

Different formation. Maybe a little bit of motion before the snap. Some hard counts... make it look like youre doing something.

I was waiting for them to quickly shift out of that formation into a different one late into the clock. Obviously they never did, and it was all just baffling.

I actually wondered if they were dumb enough to try passing out of that formation. For a little bit I actually thougth they would throw to a TE leaking out in the the flat which would have inevitably been covered by like 3 defenders and make the eagles look incredibly dumb.

I’d like something like that on third and 1. We ran something like that to Goedert earlier this year that worked. It could have been a better gain but the pass was off.

Yup. I didn’t get it when they did that formation. It was a long 2. And the colts just played a goaline style defense. I would’ve thought it was a much better idea if they spread the colts out and tried to pull it off. Instead the colts knew there was no freaking way they were snapping it so it basically was just burning a timeout unnecessarily. And you didn’t get anything out of what the colts defense was possibly going to do because of that formation.

It was a long 2. I thought it was closer to 4th and 3 where they had it. It’s why I didn’t understand why they went to the formation to try and draw them offsides. no way in hell the Colts see that formation and think oh yeah you’re just gonna try to sneak it for basically 3 yards in that formation when they stacked that box. with 1:24 left and only 2 timeouts I get the logic where if you fail on 4th then (if make 3 stops) likely get the ball with under 20 seconds so the odds you go down the field and score a td to win are slim. So if you can try to draw them offsides and take the timeout has some merit even if it weren’t the route i go. I just thought it was stupid to run the formation they did trying to do that. The colts new based off formation they weren’t snapping it

I’d love to know after Scott gave up that big play to get inside the 5 what the win percentage was for the colts

Wild stat

Fans of a team with similar stats would say that shows they know how to win close games.  I think it really just shows they've been extremely lucky.  I think history shows that NFL teams that run up great records in tons of close games usually come crash back to Earth early in the playoffs and the following season.

It was 87.8 percent.
