It was 87.8 percent.

I’m actually surprised it wasn’t higher tbh. Wound up being a game saving tackle even after it was a broken Coverage

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

A lot of people in here picked up on that too

I also thought Hurts drifted out of the pocket a little bit on that play.  Was anyone open downfield?

That's actually my biggest critique of Hurts for today.  There weren't many bad throws.  He drifted around and out of the pocket all game long.  Very rarely set his feet, looked downfield, and made a throw.  So many throws were off script, off balance...or never even happened because of botched RPOs.

Was gonna add a screen grab to my previous post but you were too quick on the reply.

Actually think this is a game the Eagles needed.  Offense very flat but defense kept them in the game. Then with the game within reach, the Eagles reverted to their go to offense.  Boobie found the holes, Hurts found his legs, the OL blocked some holes and good catches.  And they remembered Watkins this game.  Swear I saw more Jackson than Calcaterra in the 12 they played but will rewatch the All22 to see if my eyes deceived me.

The old men showed up.  Well the new ones.  Need to see the snap count but Cox was a ghost.  Did they rest him up some or did they send a message that he needs to look more like Fletcher Cox and less like an old player stealing $14 million on his way out the door.

Didn’t he have pressure on the 4th down play to end the game?

That was such a fun game, and a hell of a debut by Garner. Damn shame that team had the collapse it did.

The Charlie Garner game is still one of my favorite Eagles games of all time.  We had been hearing how dynamic he was but he was hurt.  Then the 49ers game and he just had such explosion. One of my favorite players of all time, even when he wasn’t an Eagle.

He’s been doing that more and more as the season progresses.  One of my big gripes as I was hoping that was one thing he would continue to improve on.

I want to point out that the addition of Suh/Joseph might unlock Milton Williams more than it buries him.  He played meaningful snaps today and collected a sack that we just might not have won the game without.

He's better as a wild card that gets into the backfield than he is as someone you ask to consistently stop the run.  Now, they don't have to ask that of him.

We also learned that there were multiple better options than Tui on the street.  Speedy recovery and best of luck on a different roster next year to him.

Not gonna lie his rah rah chest pounding antics are kind of annoying. Act like you expect to win.

Eh, doesn't bother me at all.

Looking more and more like a wasted 4th round pick

There is some point in my mind that stands out, and I forget which it was but I remember saying- Hurts is beating the blitz today with his arm. That was a bunch of weeks ago now and really havent seen it since.

I also remember a few games, really early on where he round run but keep his eyes down field and find a pass. He hasnt done that in quite some time either.

It goes to show how you can work on something all offseason, but eventually you revert back to old habits.

Its a shame because for a while it was looking like he really was taking the next step. At this point its clear hes just been propped up by the excellent weapons around him, and his improvements at this point are fairly minor, and seem to be less and less as the season goes on.

Perhaps his brother takes his spot on our roster next year.

Would it be surprising at all to see the eagles keep it in the family along the DL this draft and take the Tui brother at DT, as well as the Herbig brother at DE?

He can be spectacular (we've seen it) when the OL gives him a clean pocket, he's comfortable in it, and he goes to work.

He has the athleticism, but not the arm, to freelance like Mahomes/Allen.  He can make all the throws when he sets his feet in the pocket.  His options are very limited (basically, what's right in front of him along the sideline while rolling right) when he's off balance on the move.

That's the irony that is unfolding with Hurts; he's better as a pocket QB.

If I were an opposing DC, I'd send a wide blitz from the strong side to flush him out of the pocket left on every critical play.  It's not that he can't throw to his left; he can't run to his left.

Defense played good enough after the 1st drive. Really missing Maddox. Scott is not good enough.  Suh and Joseph filled in nicely.  Edwards played better.  Gannon actually blitzed some.  Overall they were better.  Get Davis/Maddox back they could be pretty dominant once again.

Main issues with offense I thought was  lackluster OL play and not creativity in the playcalling to keep the defense guessing.  Seemed very vanilla.  Would say that Jalen needs to check down to those rbs out of the backfield more often.  They seemed to be open for significant gains. And Brown doesn't seem healthy.  That strip looked like he was kind of ginger on that ankle.

I just dont know how Pacheco was such a late round pick.

I never like addressing RB, but I think it's time to do so.

Gainwell and Scott just don't offer much of anything.  Gainwell is a fluid receiver and will slide through what the OL gives him, but that's it.

Sanders is a good runner.  Not particularly tough, but not a scatback either...and has some nice moves, quickness.  Brings very little...no, nothing...in the passing game.  Also not worth the contract he'll want with the stats he's picking up behind this OL.

I'd like to see a true "third down back."  Our passing game at the LOS sucks (I'm not blaming this one on Hurts).  We need someone besides Goedert...namely, a RB with some quickness that can catch a football and actually run with it.  And that RB needs to be paired with a balanced Sanders replacement who has some explosion in his game.

If the Eagles have a 66% chance to win the division, how can the Cowboys have a better chance of winning the Super Bowl? That doesn’t make sense.

I want a new QB. Barring a SB win, Eagles need to upgrade. It's the only non-elite piece in the offense.

Idk but the cowboys schedule for the rest of the year they are likely favorites in every one of those games besides maybe the eagles and titans game. I’m guessing they likely are the favorite vs  the eagles since it’s at home

vs. giants

vs. Colts

vs. Texans

at jags

vs. Eagles

at titans

at Washington.

All i know is you really want to win the division cause if you don’t you are the 5 seed and very likely facing SF or tampa bay on the road in the wild card round.

He's the same player whether or not he wins a super bowl. Why would that make a difference to you?

If Hurts wins the SB, pay him. Then it's only a couple years we're buried by the contract and a SB is worth it. Otherwise,

I was once Hurts’ biggest critic and still point out all his flaws, but any rookie qb will be a massive step back for 2 years, assuming they don’t bust altogether.  Unless Rodgers wants to come to Philly, I don’t think any veteran that is reasonably available is going to do better.
