Don’t be so disingenuous. You proclaimed the 49ers throughly beat a Cardinals team (but left out the back up qb part).

I bring up us throughly beating a much better Cowboys team, and your response is "Cowboys with Cooper Rush you mean?”

Your hypocrisy knows no ends

You already mentioned the Cardinals had a back up QB, was pretty well established and yet the niners didn't put up only 17 points and win by 1 they played well and routed them.

Eagles didn't thoroughly beat the cowboys first match up, they almost choked it away in the 2nd half which at the time was a concern.

My hypocrisy???

You seem a little unbalanced maybe it's time you take that pot walk with your dog and chill out bro...

😳

Which do you agree with most:

1. The Eagles have a good defense, all metrics back that up. ie turnovers, sacks, DVOA-which is top 5.

2. The Eagles defense isn't bad, but I still don't trust quite trust it. They've been inflated by playing bad QBs/teams and unsustainable turnover rate.

3. The Eagles defense isn't good. I don't care what the numbers say, the eye test shows their flaws.

4. I don't know what to make of the Eagles defense still one way or the other.

So funny story.

Picking my kids up from school yesterday and my car has an eagles license plate cover and the dude behind me in his car has a cowboys hat on and as I start driving he holds his hat out the window and points at it.

I stick my hand out the window thumbs down him and laugh and he starts frantically shaking his hat and follows me to the end of my street where he stops as I pull into my garage???

Way too many weirdo cowboys fans in my neck of the woods, mostly chiefs fans and most of them are Midwestern nice the cowboys fans here though are punchable.👎

Too me all that matters for a defense is points allowed and I believe eagles are top 5 in least points allowed.

Now whether that has to do with any of the above I don't know🤷‍♂️ sorry...

1.5  We have a good defense but I also don't trust the playcalling to put them in position to succeed sometimes. Our DL has been too feast or famine to be reliable which is probably our biggest question mark on a week to week basis.

Redskins arent a crap team, and the colts have one of the best defenses in the league and we played them in their house.

IT's  crazy how far out of touch you are.

Redskins aren't not a crap team, eagles shouldn't have lost to them, super bowl contending teams don't get outworked in the trenches like the eagles did that game, never seen such a lopsided time of possession.

As for the colts they suck, is their D good, sure?

Yet Superbowl contending teams don't only beat them by 1 point after only scoring 3 points in 3 1/2 quarters.

If the eagles are serious about contending then they need to play better especially against inferior teams.

The commanders colts and Texans all of which they struggled with are all inferior teams.

Hopefully they can get right come playoff time, getting Davis and goedert will help barring not any other injuries to key guys

It's surprising to me that eagles put up 3 stinkers in a row and I say they've struggled and you call me crazy.

You can't honestly think the eagles have looked good the last 3 weeks and anyone that thinks they have I would question their sanity.

Though Seumalo was the highest rated eagle OL against the colts according to PFF ,for whatever that's worth🤷‍♂️

We're 7th in pts allowed, 2nd in yds allowed, and 4th in DVOA

Yet Superbowl contending teams don't win every game.

FYP

The Chiefs lost to the same Colts team we barely beat.  Our bad games end up as one-possession games (Arz, Was, Ind).  The Vikings bad games end up in blowouts.

No they haven't looked great.  But this isn't a beauty contest.

You must have been miserable after the Steelers game.

From what we have seen so far, I would probably go with #1, though there are certainly still times where it's hard to trust them.

Unless you ask Bradberry to come up and play run support.   Once again on Sunday he looked allergic to contact and allowed the RB to go right past him through the hole for a huge gain, whereas if he played the position with any physicality (Run support only... not talking about his play against the pass) that's a 3-5 yard run at best.  Instead it turned into about 15-20, iirc.

Fair enough. He can be better.

His play against the pass has been pretty good tho, like him to do better against the run , but hey, Break up that big chunk pass downfield, I can live with that.

Do they ever explain what they base this off of? Hurts has been sacked 26 times this year (which already matches last year) and his time to throw is way down compared to last year, so I don't think he's to blame for the 21 other sacks.

Also curious if they counted that strip sack against Mailata or not. Sure look like he messed up that assignment unless it was just a really bad play design.

I don’t know that’s what I’d like to know. I’d love to know where he got the numbers from tbh. Is it PFF or just his film study or somewhere else. Feels like a couple weeks back Dickerson gave up a sack in a game so id like to know who’s saying it and how they are calculating it.

I don't have all 22 nor have I gone back and watched the game yet.

One of those turnovers was on hurts, I don't care if Sanders didn't stonewall the DE hurts needs to hold onto the ball, that's on him.

As for his passing, he was ok, I thought with goedert out eagles would go more 3 and 4 wide but Watkins played his 3rd lowest snaps of the season as eagles went 12 and 13 more than expected, so I think that's more in coaches than hurts but still hurts needs to better in those situations.

Penalties missed blocks ect happen in all games and yet the eagles still score more than 3 points through 3 qtrs.

Like I said it's not all on the QB but as we know it's all on the QB.

He needs to play better if the eagles hope to go anywhere, I'll rephrase and say the offense for 31/2 qtrs played like hot garbage and hurts is part of that.

Hurts didn't have his best game.  I don't think he was awful. He certainly also was the reason they scored the TD on the final drive.  My view of this game is that most of it is on the coaching staff.
