So me saying "it's too early to call him a complete bust" and that it was 1 quote, from 1 presser after 1 game is now bending over backards.

Like someone else mentioned. You were ok with giving hurts muliply seasons with offensive minded coaches and a ton of weapons but you're killing Wilson in a terrible situation in the same breathe.... This seems like we should be ramping up for the Racist tournment of 64 in a couple months

If Hurts was as terrible as Wilson and showed no improvement at all from year one to year two then I wouldn't have supported sticking with him.  Fact is though Hurts made a big leap from his rookie year into year two and given his character, his work ethic and intangibles I knew that he would continue to improve heading into year 3 just as he has.

Zach Wilson is an immature disaster at QB who has now been benched.  He's a bust.

You took 1 quote from this week and blew it out of the water and yelling he's a bust because of it. I took 2 quotes from this week to show you how people are reacting to it.

Hurts looked like absolute dog crap against Tampa and the Eagles only won last year when they took the ball out of his hands(like the jets are doing to wilson)

I'm not dying on a Zach Wilson hill, but to claim he's a bust, RIGHT NOW, is laughable

I said it before and I'll say it again.  He isn't a bust solely because of the quote, he's a bust because he's the worst QB in the league that has shown no improvement at all. His answer in the post game press conference is the nail in the coffin that solidifies how he's a bust.  He doesn't have the necessary maturity and leadership that is required to succeed at that position.

Hurts had a bad game last year, in which everyone else on the team outside of Ryan Kerrigan did as well.  Zach Wilson has had nothing but bad games his entire career.  Hurts took a big step from his rookie year into his second year and became the youngest QB in franchise history to take the Eagles to the playoffs.  He was a major contributing factor to the team's success last year.

Poor Daniel Jones…

Youve never met the kid. you've never spoke to anyone in the jets locker room. you have zero years as a scout.

Thats the point i'm trying to make. STFU, you're literally clueless on the topic just spouting off pure speculation

Speculation? He proved it.  That's one of the most shameful responses I've seen from a QB after a performance like that. He clearly does not at all check the necessary mental boxes that are needed to succeed at QB in this league.

Him being benched today further confirms that he must have really pissed off his teammates and the rest of the organization with that response.

I also normally prefer my major sporting events without the flagrant sports-washing and human rights abuses but yeah, the actual games are fun.

I watched "FIFA Uncovered" on Netflix. Man. What a ish-show with all that corruption.

I’m just tuned out to all of that since 2020.

I watched that as well. Crazy just how arrogant and stupid the people in that organization were.

Sounds like Mills is about to get benched too.

The only rookie year he had, his first year in the league.

Year 2 to 3 was a huge leap. I strongly disagree that 1 to 2 was a big leap

He deserves too. He’s been bad for most of the year. Some of it is the team around him is not very good (although i do like collins, cooks and Pierce) but really he should be better than what he’s shown. The fact people thought last year he was already as good as watson was laughable.

I don't know how it can't be considered a big leap.

He went from 52% completion to 61.3%.  He dramatically reduced his rate of interceptions and fumbles.  Really across the board in nearly every statistical category he improved from year one into year two.

Most important he went from 1-3 on a team that went 4-11-1 to 8-7 on a team that wasn't all that much more talented than the 4-11-1 team.

He has no OLine and no WRs. Given his situation he’s been OK.

O-line definitely needs work. But the weapons aren't horrible. Mooney, Claypool and Kmet isn't the worst thing. Throw in the two RB's and it's not half bad. Of course it needs more but there's some pieces there.

He’s improved in each year so far. He’ll hit his peak when he gets that big contract

Its weird that Saleh disclosed that.  I guess he had to.

But while Im sure he was going for "I want everyone to know that Wilson is fighting for the job" it mostly comes off as "Wilson still has no idea how the team dynamic works"

This is like graduate level Carson Wentz-ing for Wilson.   I think his ego prevented him from saying the right thing and Im amazed he is doubling down on it.

Look, no one has first hand knowledge of him as a person.  Maybe all of the reporters are wrong about his post-game attitude this past week but there's nothing that seems like accountability.  If you also look at his other performances, lack of improvement and what appear to be significant accuracy/decision issues, I am not sure what your argument is. He has stunk it up as a QB.  He is a bust at this point. Sure, no one can predict his future but it doesn't look good.

He will be a commander next year

I just wish I could figure out the difference between the two....

Like Hurts last year?

To be fair hurts last year was a big part of that run game...

This above reaction to getting benched is way more troubling than his initial response to the gotcha media question.

I mean seriously dude take your lumps instead of whining like a momma's best friend boy...

I think he's done in NY no way he comes back from this, his teammates have lost all respect for him.

As said he'll get a chance somewhere else sooner or later, he should use this chance to reflect and grow up.

I think they go with Heinecke and a draft pick but maybe.

If they were smart they would go with Sam Howell, and then extend him with a lifetime supply of McNuggets

I wonder if Howell will get a start this year.  He's another option for them.

I'd doubt it unless they fall off a cliff the next few weeks. They are competing for the 7th seed currently and designated Wentz to return from IR. Sounds like he's staying 3rd string.
