Happy Thanksgiving, my fellow  knuckleheads!

Speculating on Reich v Fangio v Brady.  Most head coaches get some level of guarantee in their contracts.  Fangio, for example had a $35 million guarantee on a four year $61 million contract with the last year being a team option.  So in essence, he had no money due at firing.     In contrast, Reich had just signed an extension through 2026 in 2021.  He is due $9 million this year although full guarantee wasn’t disclosed.   While he has an obligation to mitigate guarantees (which are offset), he can consult to Nick for very little or no pay this year.  I suspect that is what is happening.  In contrast, as a brand new OC, although with some experience in the CFL as an OC, Brady probably doesn’t have much of a guarantee, if any, although I think due his 2022 salary by the Colts.  So consult for very little this season and look for a job next season.

Speaking of Brady, while possibly bench strength, in thinking of @LeanMeanGM’s suggestion that Shane’s successor should be Johnson, which makes great sense, then given Brady’s experience before replacing Nick in Indy was as a QB and mostly as a QB coach, perhaps Brady is Johnson insurance.

Tbh if the bills stumble and fail to reach the Super Bowl i could see them making a move where they move on from McDermott and try to go after Payton. In a Bucs type of move where they fired dingy and went to gruden.I’d actually choose Buffalo over all three of those teams just team wise if it happened. However the city of LA likely is more appealing than going to Buffalo.

I actually think cook is a better back than singletary. When he has gotten touches the numbers say he’s one of the most productive backs in the league. I’m waiting for when the bills finally realize it

Special teams it makes sense if they were struggling. To me they needed to just use cook more as a runner and receiver. I wish i had the tweet from a couple weeks back, the advanced analytics say he should be getting more carries and replacing singletary. 

I really wish they would stop putting the same teams on Thanksgiving. Mix it up. Most people don't want to see Detroit and Dallas EVERY year.

They’ll never take Dallas out of that game cause it’s Dallas and the ratings they get. Lions they easily could be moved out for better or just different teams

Detroit deserves it. It’s been a tradition started by them in the 1930’s.

Dallas just copied their idea 30 years later. They shouldn’t have it every year.
