While I agree with you, "last year’s draft” always has potential.

Smith (if they find a way to keep him past his rookie deal), Dickerson (put the injury worry to rest, at this point any injury is chalked up to it's just football), Williams (solid rotational player being asked to do stuff he shouldn't), McPherson (great ST'r), Gainwell (good enough utility back).  I think it was pretty darn good overall the potential rests on the one time Howie didn't have to be the smartest in the room, *cough* drafting Barnett or NA, and resigning smith.

I think some of you have to face the reality that, although he may not get $50 million a year, his contract will be north of $40 million a year.

Never be worth that

Ststing thst Howie can't draft after hitting in 2021, 2022 looks good and getting a good starting QB in 2020 is certainly a choice.

Hurts can't be re-signed until after this season, but as far as I know, nothing would prohibit the team from discussing perameters of a deal amongst themselves and Hurts agent(s).

You can bet that they will be racing to extend Hurts as soon as they can so they can beat that market resetting contract that Lamar will get.

Man, Caleb Williams is just unfair.

2022 is looking good from the IR and the bench?

Georgia-USC national championship game would be very entertaining and probably the most evenly matched game.

No thank you $50 million/year.

#Eagles are having contract extension conversations with QB Jalen Hurts and a potential deal could reach $50M/year.

conversations have also been had in regards to impact of this contract on roster and teams ability to remain competitive.

Refs really need to start being d's about these people fielding the ball in the field of play and stepping back into the EZ for touchbacks.

Hitting the top of the draft is the easy part, getting value with mid-to-late rounders has been swing and miss for the most part. Having really good positional coaching helps. But Howie needs to improve on mid-to-late round drafting.

For the first time in a decade (excluding the entire 2020 fanless season), I am not going to be able to attend a home game that actually matters. I skipped the finales against Dallas in 2017 and 2021, the former because of the flu and the latter because no one cared. I came down sick more than a week ago. Covid test came back negative thankfully. I’m improving considerably but am still not up to where I need to be. Hope to back for the Titans game.

The fact that the weather figures to suck all day kinda softens the blow I guess.

Get well soon, man.

They shouldn't even bother inviting anyone other than Caleb to New York for the Heisman. Never seen more of a 1 man race than this.

I'm sure he's middle of the road 'hit' wise compared to other GM's but the dude likes to get cute and think he's the smartest in the room way too often.

This is where that click-bait headline comes from. As far as I can tell, they aren't having conversations with Hurts (Are they even allowed to?), they are having it amongst the FO.

They aren’t "allowed to” but I’m sure that number is coming from his agent in a hush hush manor. It’s likely there’s an internal conversation between the FO saying "this is likely what it takes, how can we do this with him”.

Agree there. Just let the damn scouts pick the players. If the scouts pick duds, change the scouts.

The CBA makes it very clear they cannot. Now, I don’t believe they don’t, but the rule by law prohibits it.

The 2022 draft class is the biggest ? in the NFL. They are by far the lowest team of rookie contribution snaps across the league. The class clearly depends on next year and what happens with all the pending FA’s/retirees.

Geez, USC might just win the National Championship.

Best offense in the country, by far; best player as well.

This will be fun next year. Wonder if some teams will push to get an annual birth on the Black Friday game

Amazon ran so well yesterday, the added traffic from an NFL game should be easy for them.

@LeanMeanGM

Packers are banged up where it helps the Eagles.  Suh, Joseph and Hargrave with help from Edwards shut down Jones and Dillon.  Sweat and Reddick have a good day against the Packers OL.  Watson tests their nickel. Back up TEs take the next step.  Sirianni rediscovers that Boston Scott can catch as they run the Hobson’s choice play with Scott as a new wrinkle.

Eagles 31, Packers 10

Bonus Slay gets that ball from a GOAT QB

Double bonus.  Smiled a bit today knowing JustRelax was enjoying the whipping Michigan put  on Ohio State.

Tyler Shough puts up 436 yards and a 50-burger on OU.  He’s gonna be a good late-round pick for somebody, and it wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he looks like the best QB at the Senior Bowl

Would love to see a repeat of the Packers @ 10-1 Eagles game on December 5th, 2004.  The Favre Packers were very hyped and thought to maybe be the best team in the NFC an the not the Eagles heading into Philadelphia that Sunday.  Eagles blew them out and hung 35 points on them in the first half.

Packers aren't as good year but I would still love to see the Eagles come out and and hang 30+ points on the Packers in the first half in a statement game on SNF.

Very interesting context to look at here Jalen Hurts and the other QBs of this current century that have started their careers here and how they did in their first 10 games in their 3rd seasons.

Donovan Mcnabb: 6-4 record, 58.5%, 2,006  yards, 16 TDs, 5 INT, 87.6 QB Rating, 298 rushing yards & 2 rushing TDs.

Nick Foles: 6-2 record, 59.8%, 2,163 yards, 13  TDs, 10 INT, 81.4 QB Rating, 68 rushing yards & 0 rushing TD.

Carson Wents: 5-5 record, 69.7%, 2,846 yards, 18  TDs, 7 INT, 100.6 QB Rating, 96 rushing yards & 0 rushing TD.

Jalen Hurts: 9-1 record, 68.3%, 2,407 yards, 15 TDs, 3 INT, 106.5 QB Rating, 440 rushing yards & 8 rushing TD.

We had the same sickness here in Nor Cal last week with three days of intense symptoms and now along tail of persistent cough and runny nose, but nothing serious otherwise.  Get well soon.
