It will be interesting to see who the first organization will be who:

a) wins a Super Bowl with a QB on a league-high contract

b) waves goodbye to a QB due a league-high extension and follows the model of building the roster outside of QB to contend

We already know this... If Stafford wasn't the highest, he was definitely up there.

Edit: nvm, just looked it up and they didn't extend him until after the season

I like Hurts more this year, but he isn’t worth 50m. He isn’t worth 40m. He isn’t worth 30m.

The meltdown this board is going to have when he signs his extension will be epic.

who is, but that is what the NFL is.

I think with cap increases, his level of play deserves around 30-35 million.

Not 40. Definitely not 50.

Hurts has shown to be a good starting QB, but if he wants 40M+ we should trade him.

He deserves an extension, but 50/per is beyond idiotic.

But it's going to be more than 40. Thinking it will be under 40 is also beyond idiotic.

Most people don’t want to overpay for an average passer.

Hurts has definitely been better, but one has to wonder how he's going to look when the rest of the team is gutted as a result

My guess is not very good. Decent, but never a true contender. Purgatory, if you will.

Look at Green Bay..and that's with one of the most gifted passers this sport has ever seen.

The all black is the best uniform/helmet color for the Washington C words.

Commanders playing well

Just tuned in to Washington vs. Atlanta.  And I see an all black uniform, including the helmet for the Washingteam... and it makes me sad that I'll get to see that exact same uniform tonight for my team.   I just can't figure out these all black uniforms.  WHY???

Nike is terrible.  They have done a terrible job since they took over the NFL Uniforms and creating new uniforms and alts.

I look forward to the kelly green returning next year but I also fear what Nike is cooking up for that.

At least with Rodgers he keeps the packers in contention every year. Hurts will never be at that level when we’re losing a lot of the supporting cast.

This sounds a lot like the "we can't win with all this dead money against the cap" argument that used to be popular around these parts.

What a disgrace... of course... it makes sense coming from that dumpster fire organization.

Why is Todd Downing (Titans' OC with DUI) not suspended today?   NFL is a joke.

At least Howie has shown he's great at drafting.

Oh, wait..

Hurts will get a deal in the 40s, as he should, but look for Howie to have an exit clause 3-ish years into the deal, coupled with another mid round draft pick QB with the potential to eventually replace Hurts by that time.

At what point can the family step in and tell them "no”? That’s at least twice they insulted him in the last year.
