What a weirdo.

He's 30. He's on injury 3 or 4 and its to the same knee as before.

When he joined the Rams they were already a top 5 NFL offense averaging 30+ points and 400+ yards a game.

Joining the sputtering Giants offense or the flaccid Cowboys passing game will not get the same results.

He may be able to help push an already very good Bills offense to be a bit better.

Joey Slye missed an extra point. He of course decided to only hit 50 yard bombs against us.

Exactly what I said.

Cowboys passing hasn't been flaccid at all.  Gotta hope he really struggles coming back from that injury but even then he would jus be their #3 WR.  That is a worrisome pickup if they do sign him.

All the numbers say the Cowboys passing game sucks.

Dak likes to throw the ball to the other team in a year when almost no one does that. (league average int% is 2.2 and Dak is at 3.3)

NY had 2 picks all year before Thanksgiving. They now have 4.

They have been moving the ball and scoring the ball.  Dak has been generous in giving the ball to other teams, but when he hasn't been doing that they have been scoring.  Giving him more talent is only going to make that offense better.

I rather them overpay him and cause drama to the room. He won't be having too many snaps 10 months after ACL surgery to the same knee. In a new offense and pressure cooker of Dallas. What can go wrong!? 😄

Yeah for sure over the lifetime of the contract if they do sign him to a multi-year deal.  But I can't imagine he will be able to cause any locker room issues coming into a winning team late.  And it isn't 2003 anymore, guys can come back from multiple ACL injuries and do so in 10 months.

Anyone think the annoying saints find a way to upset SF today?

No training camp or reps with Prescott. I rather them get distracted with that honestly. Feels too late in season to make much of an impact. I'm not scared of it. They have plenty of weapons when you count tight ends and their current running game. Don't think they need him but will see.

Sure didn't distract the Rams when they picked him up mid-season last year when he had no reps with Stafford.  Not sure how he is going to be a distraction for them.  The rest of the season will basically be time for him to get back up to speed and familiar with the Dallas offense.  Come playoffs he will be dangerous as a #3 WR for them.  Teams will have to at least respect him as the #3 WR and pay him attention defensively.

Why is he? If they think he's the franchise QB then that's going to be the cost. Ok they may get it wrong but they may also get it right.

Because he isn't a QB worth close to 40 million a year let alone 50. That would be an anchor around their necks for years.

The Rams were the best offense in the league when he joined them. Cooper Kupp was playing like Megatron.

They demolished the Bucs D while Dak was pathetic vs the Bucs D this year.

OBJ was not coming off an injury.

You are comparing apples and turds.

How is he not?  Two years as the starter and two years he will have taken this team to the playoffs.  Could get the #1 seed this year.  Will likely at the very least be 2nd team All Pro in his 3rd year as QB.  Has improved every year since he has entered.  By all accounts is a great leader with all the intangibles required from winners at QB and he is only 24 years old.

Hate to say it, but if Hurts wins a Superbowl he is getting closer to 50M than 40M. Wins just a game in the playoffs he gets about 45M. Loses 1st game and looks meh he still probably gets 40M. He would have to be horrific to not get 40M. Salary cap will be sky high by end of his contract where 60M will be the new 50M. 😆 Have to accept that QBs are crazy overpaid in this league or you become the NY Jets and draft your next Zack Wilson or the Jags and draft a Trevor Lawrence, who can never get it right. And in perpetual rebuilding mode. All huge questions marks even after 2 years. Big time crap shoot at the top of the draft.

Youd rather be arizona?

Cowboys have the 6th ranked scoring offense in the league.  Bucs played the Cowboys in week 1.  Week 1 has no relevance to how Dak and the Cowboys offense is currently playing.

IJ don't know why OBJ coming off an injury means he will now be a distraction for the Cowboys.

Seems silly to act like the Cowboys adding OBJ is somehow a bad move for them for this season.  It will be a benefit to them this season just as the Eagles adding Joseph and Suh has been a benefit to the Eagles.

Think it's a little different scenario. He signed Nov 12th last year and wasn't coming off a torn ACL. Probably won't sign for another week at least. He's a year older & for a WR that is never good, when turning 30 especially. Also, he only signed for 4M last year. He's looking for way more than that and a long term deal. Not worth it at this exact juncture. Hes gonna need time to come back to old form. See Chris Godwyn. I think Cowboys will come to their senses personally.

Pretty blatant OPI.

For starters he hasn't proven crap yet in the playoffs. SImmons helped the 76ers make them for years, so that is a worthless stat to a degree. We'll see how he does this year.

The guy we saw at times vs Indy is still who he is. Yeah, his legs carry him, but just like against Dallas when a team stops the run and he has to throw he's got major problems. It's a mistake to give 40-50 million of their salary to him before he proves it when it matters. I'd say getting homefield and winning one game wouldn't even do it for me. If he makes the Super Bowl, we can talk. Until then don't make the same mistake they did with Wentz.

Also, 40-50 million isn't a discount. They can afford to wait and see until they have to pay him.

Isn't good at throwing the football?  He's throwing 68.3% completion, 15 TD passes to only 3 INTs (only Brady has thrown less), has a 1.0% interception rate which is second only to Brady, has the 4th highest QB Rating at 106.5, has the 2nd highest YPA at 8.3 and he is on pace to set the franchise season record for passing yards.

How the hell can you say he isn't good at throwing the football?

You realize the playoffs aren't right arounde he corner right?  There are 6 games remaining in the season after this week.  That's a third of the season.  He will have time to get back to his old self.  Unless he ends up being completely washed then he will no doubt be a beneficial addition to their offense come playoff time.
