It's a little alarming if Goedert is that important for this passing offense to succeed.  If your 1st round Heisman Trophy winning WR and $100 million WR who also cost a 1st round pick need a TE to be successful then I have an issue with that.  Yea, you can expect a drop off from Goedert to TE2 but he shouldn't be the glue for the entire passing attack.  I would hope the WR they've invested so heavily in can produce on their own regardless of who lines up at TE.  I know Goedert is going to draw some coverage but again, if their WR are that good, they should be able to win matchups on their own.

It's the QB.

Devonte throughout the season is open practically every play, hurts either doesnt see  him or smith isnt the first read or hurts can't get him the ball.

Having said that when one runs the ball 49 times there aren't going to be as many opportunities for receivers.

I would take TE-JR over Hasty. What I keep trying to explain to you is.....

I, dont think he's as much of a game changer as you do. I dont think a upset over the Cowboys relies on TE-JR, and if you look at the Jags wins, you can see it really does it.

Now, for your dumb comparisons of Godert, Chase, and  other injuried players. Those players HAVE WON, and PLAYED WELL, REALLY WELL when thier teams have won. Which is something TE-JR HAS NEVER EVER EVER DONE in his 2 seasons in the NFL

Nice, name calling

This is why you're a troll, LMFAO. You'd take him because he's a better player. Period.

For all of the rest, you're arguing with the wrong person. I know you're wrong/troll so frequently it's hard to keep track.

Watson has an effortless stride and absolutely cooked Epps and Blankenship. He's going to be a nice player for them.

Green Bay's issue this year has been their defense. They invested two first rounders into that unit and haven't gotten any returns yet. Second to last in the league against the run and not a ton of weapons at skill position on offense. Going into this season, they were designed to have a good 1-2 punch with Jones and Dillon, but when your defense puts you in a hole early you can't really play that style. Dillon has also been a let-down for the most part this season. Watson is coming along nicely for them the past month, but they still need another receiver or two.

I think lately it’s been their defense. Early in the season it was their erratic offense due to injuries and just poor wr play. Defense would keep them in games like jets and commanders then the dam eventually broke as the offense couldn’t do anything for most of the game and they wore out.

I'll said it again, The Jags upsetting the Cowboys have little to nothing to do with TE-JR and the Jags running game.

I just said nice. I didnt say you were wrong, or right. Just nice, name calling.

What is TE-JR? Like why do you spell it out that way? We know who TE is (it’s me!)

Well trading Adams wasn't the greatest move.  Losing Rashan Gary has hurt the defense.  The Packers also lack a difference maker on the d-line.  They got pushed around a lot and that's been a theme for the season.  Quay Walker looked good but the defensive front 7 just seems to struggle.

We lost Eric Stokes too.

I couldn't believe Sirianni decided to trot Jake out for a 54 yarder instead of going for it on 4th and 3. I didn't have an issue with it, I was just surprised given the fact that he opted to go for a 4th and 10 from mid field the week before. Even under Doug in his final couple seasons, it felt like no one ever really trusted Jake from long in big spots and it never made sense to me. The guy has two of the clutchest kicks in the history of this franchise with the 61 yarder against NYG in 2017 and the field goal in the Super Bowl in the 4th quarter. He's earned the right to have those opportunities, so I was glad he shined again last night. Keep giving him those spots until he shows he's not capable of coming through.

I honestly trust Elliott more from 50+ than under. I'm sure he's worked out those issue on the shorter FGs earlier in his career, but he just seems more reliable for those long FGs.

With this number available, I think we can find an affordable option.

Watson has been fantastic lately. Finally healthy and hanging on to catches. Problem is it took too long for him to get to this consistency. Likely some health and some he’s a rookie. Plus Watkins and Cobb should really are underwhelming along side watson. Hopefully doubs and watson can get reps with love and hit the ground running next year.

I hope your right. What do you guys think of Love? You think he will have success or not?

After watching Eagles HOF Inductee ceremony last night, wondering why Andre Waters has never been inducted?

He's the eagles all time leading tackler with 910 tackles.

From 1986 his first year starting to 1991 he had 6 straight season with 100+ tackles with 2 of those seasons with 150+.

In 1986 he led the team in tackles and INTS with 6 and added 2 sacks.

Though he never made a pro bowl many believe he was deserving but blacklisted by the players as he was considered dirty.

Thus the nickname dirty waters.

I think he deserves to be in the eagles HOF, as he was a great eagle and known for his great work on and off the field.

I may be a bit biased as I watched him tear up BYU every year but I think he has the skill set to succeed in today's NFL.

Will he turn into Aaron Rodgers perennial MVP candidate??? probably not but I think he can help a team win games and  be  a top 10 QB.

I think last night can somewhat be attributed to brown not being himself after his illness. I’m thinking it’s likely a good game for him Sunday. Titans run defense is really good. So it’s likely heavy attacking the titans pass d. Smith had nice amount of targets last night. Would really love to see him go off one of these weeks. I think it’s gonna happen in the next 2 games.

Brown hasn't been right between the ankle and illness, but I think this offense does a good job of sticking with what works for them game to game. Last night was the run game, so when you're averaging 7.5 ypc on the ground, you don't have to force the passing attack. They fed AJ in the PIT game and DeVonta in the first WAS game. People can talk about how they gave Brown a big deal or spent a first rounder on DeVonta and want more consistent production out of them, but the identity and strength of this team has been the offensive line and run game. That's their bread and butter and AJ and DeVonta provide an extra threat that they didn't have last year to help that aspect of the offense.

Smith had a knee issue that had him limited in practice and Brown was so sick he puked breaking a blood vessel in his eye and lost seven pounds. Packers can’t stop the run so they utilized Stoll as a blocker and Boobie and Jalen slashed them with the run.  I am good with that.

Was interesting they started with Scott running what looked like a wheel route (although Hurts threw the WR screen).  Thought they might use Scott some on wheel routes. He was good with those under Doug.  Good hands and exceeds at catching what is thrown to him.  Seems wheel routes might replace some of Goedert’s screen routes.  Didn’t happen yesterday but may be something Nick is thinking of adding.

Yup. Byron Evans has 800+

Reggie white 740 something

Dawkins 723

Bill bergey might be close but it's tough to find his official numbers as tackles weren't an official stat during his time.

Either way waters was an integral part of those buddy defenses and had he not been blacklisted he'd have at least 2 pro bowls next to his name especially his 86 season.

Lots of RBs wanting big contracts but their teams don't want to pay?

Wonder if this finally resets the market back to being realistic for the shelf life of a RB

I would’ve guessed Evans. Who knew? Sorta embarrassed I didn’t know it was Waters tbh.

Coach is perfectly fine.  Rodgers needs to go.

I liked him coming out. Don’t think he’s gonna be rodgers but i think he can be good starter. The issue is he’s in year 3 but you’ve never got to see him progress and get enough playing time to make the strides you’d want to see. That’s why I would play him the rest of the year and see if he improves week to week.

whether or not, it’s true, Adam caplan during that draft said the eagles really liked him.

I agree to an extent, but Goedert is a top 5 TE, arguably top 3. If that kind of talent gets removed from your offense I would expect there to be a struggle and learning how to cope without it. There is a huge drop in talent from Goedert to Stoll. Brown was dealing with an illness and still probably with that ankle, but he has seemed to level off the last few weeks. I'm not a fan of how they are using Smith and think they need to incorporate Pascal more into the offense. Watkins had a nice game too, but he is spotty in his performances.Would love to see them use Smith to stretch the field some more, but I also feel this team isn't that great at hitting the deep ball.

It's wild that we're 10-1 and still haven't really played a complete game yet and our only loss is a game that we couldn't have tried harder to give away. My biggest concern is that it seems like playcalling has regressed on both sides of the ball and we're being bailed out by talent. I'm glad we stuck to what worked last night but obviously that's not very sustainable to just trample over a team.

The passing game looks weird to me. A ton of comeback/curl routes where there's no YAC potential and the receivers aren't getting separation which at this point is pointing towards play design. We barely see uncontested catches anymore. Are we that reliant on Goedert to open up the passing game?

Yup, I read it a few years back and thought the same thing.🤷‍♂️

I mean I knew he had a lot of tackles but at the time didn't realize he was the eagles all time leader.

He was one of my favorite players growing up, he wasn't the biggest guy but he could hit.
