Sign Jenkins so he & Gardner can be ready to plow the Saints in January. Yeah, a massive upgrade from Wallace. Can rotate in and play in the box.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

Wonder if Leonard Weaver ever fully recovered. What a weapon he could be in this offense. Also may want to kick the tires on Trent Cole since Quinn isn't working out.

Wallace is still on the team whether Blankenship leapfrogged him or not.

As said I'd take Jenkins over Wallace.

A safety group of epps CGJ Blankenship and Jenkins is better than Epps CGJ Blankenship and Wallace.

Yeah yeah! On to something here.

Brady cares about one person in this world and it isn't Jalen

You're obviously on something.

This is a message board designed for people to discuss eagles related football topics

The idea that a 35 year old former pro bowl safety could pitch in at the end of the season and for a useless turd like Wallace isn't far fetched at all or ridiculous.

It's ridiculous that you think it is

Also ridiculous that the banned troll can't seem to keep his greasy little fingers off the emoji button...😒

Jenkins has been retired, those other older players you mentioned never stopped playing.

As others have pointed out, he’d have to go thru waivers and we have the last pick. Even if Howie wanted him, it’s unlikely he makes it to us.

It’s just a dumb idea, and fans are grasping at straws. There’s no team in the league that wouldn’t see a significant drop off if forced to play their 4th best safety. It is what it is at this point

Damn. I think it was @LeanMeanGM that thought it might've been a kidney injury. Good call by him, hopefully CJGJ is back soon.

Kinda was just wondering out loud, mostly because of Ertz having something similar.

I look for the next Dream Weaver each year despite knowing that we’ll never draft a FB (so gadget H-back is the rationalization). Okonkwo was the guy last draft - on TEN.

I heard he was working out with Carson Strong

I said it during or right after the game.  The CGJ injury might be a blessing in disguise.  We’re going to get an extended look at Blankenship in games that 100% matter.  If he shows that he can be a player then that might make the decision on CGJs contract easier.   I want him back but his contact could be out of reach.  If Blankenship proved to be capable it will be an easier pill to swallow if CGJ walks.

Yup the waivers part is a problem and would most likely keep him from being here, that he hasn't played in a while, not a big deal.

Having said that it's not a dumb idea if it was a possibility.

Jenkins could come off his couch today, heck he could stay on his couch on the field and still be better than Wallace.

Like another poster said, I'd rather a has been than a never was.

Ah yes, 35 year old safeties who retire come back in the last third of the season and perform well all the time.

Eric Weddle did this last year, was great, and won a ring.

So yes this happens.

What a Swiss Army pocket knife he was and could have been.  Leonard Weaver, Ben Smith and Chris T. Jones are 3 injuries that I still wonder what could have been.

I personally was in favor of bringing dawkins out of retirement. He’s a hall of famer and what a motivator…

They aren't really comparable as S. I don't think Blakenship's level of play will have that much affect on CJGJ's contract.

Yup they're different players.

CGJ excels in coverage Blankenship better in run support and going forward more than backwards.

Yeah and he tore his pec in his second game back.

It’s the same idiots who were clamoring for desean to come back. It’s dumb, let the past go and move on. It’s like Blankenship didn’t play at all on Sunday night. We’re fine there

Kelee Ringo is still a name I'm considering with that Saints pick.  Guessing if we extend Gardner Johnson than Bradberry won't be back who is similar size

I have an out of the box idea to help PR. Sign DJack off Baltimore's Practice Squad. We could also dial up a deep shot to him once or twice per game.

Jenkins doesn't have much of an injury history, and again he wouldn't be replacing Blankenship he'd be replacing Wallace.

Not sure if you noticed but Wallace still played in 3 safety sets

I'd rather have a 35 year old Jenkins at 3rd safety than Wallace anywhere.

K’Von Wallace played 3 defensive snaps Monday night. Better replace those snaps with a divisive retired guy who won’t even clear waivers! What an idiotic discussion

There’s some pretty mediocre safety play across the league, in general. The way Blankenship played the other night was above average at worst. Obviously you want to see that over a larger sample size. But him a third safety is ideal. Gardner-Johnson has been a stud. Epps has been really good. I’d personally rather see what we have in Blankenship until he craps then bed. Then sign a guy if you feel the need. But if we can get through with him until G-J comes back, that’s the best case scenario and seems reasonable
