The Eagles signed Joseph and Suh, who both have played well, and people are worried about age with 6 games left in the season.

Suh and Joseph had every intention of playing, they were waiting for the right team to sign with.

Jenkins has been sitting on his couch and he wasn’t even that good last year.

Putting aside Jenkins, do you think that the Eagles need another safety on the roster?

Epps, Blankenship, Wallace, Chachere

K'Von Wallace is the worst player on the Eagles roster, regardless of position.

Here is Lance Zierlein’s scouting report, which seems about right based on an incredibly small sample size so far…

"Versatile safety with adequate size and good athleticism. Blankenship is a team leader who is aggressive and heavily experienced in a defense that required his versatility. He's ready and willing in run support but has a problem with tackle angles that causes too many misses from a variety of locations around the field. He's athletic and his route recognition is good when he's playing from up top; however, he lacks top-end speed to stay with downfield assignments. He will need to shine on special teams to improve his chances of making it in the league.”

That’s pretty spot on from his college play.

Wrong

This guy.

Brilliant.  I was coached fifty years ago not to get into blocks, yet that is exactly what the Eagles do. And the "blocking” on returns has no choreography to it.  So that is on Clay because he isn’t coaching the basics of ST play.

Who is worse? Wallace is bad on defense, special teams, etc.

Yet a 35 year ol couch sitting Jenkins is still better than Wallace.

Wallace is horrible, it's amazing to me that a guy that has done nothing but suck for 3 years has so many defenders all the sudden all because some one suggested a 35 year old Retired Jenkins would be better???

Yup, dude needs to start looking for work else where, he's been awful, I can't imagine he's brought back after the super bowl parade...

Unless he drastically turns things around.

There’s no evidence Jenkins would be better. Pure conjecture

Wallace has to have nudies of Gannon hidden somewhere safe.  No earthly reason why he should still be on this roster.

Hopefully Blankenship just needs a game or two to slow everything down for him.  Sounds like he mentally has it all down, but the execution is going to be his hurdle to jump.

I imagine Wallace huggers will say covey.

Covey though as mediocre as he is is a better Return guy than Wallace is a safety.

Words I didn't think I'd ever utter in this board, Wallace huggers...😳

Yea, they need one, but I'm not sure anyone out there is worth it, especially on the 53. You would be looking at Elijiah Riley, Ugo Amadi or Jaquiski Tartt. Might as well stick with what you have and maybe use Scott or Maddox when he's back in a pinch if you need to.

He's awful as well. Both Wallace and Book should be cut once our injured players return.

Kyron Johnson and Sean Bradley are supposed to be ST aces.  Epps was a core ST guy before being a starter. Agree, they haven’t gone out and signed a Brahman or Maragos type though.

Johnson and Bradley are in the middle of the coverage unit, along with Scott and Dean.  Weakness for Johnson is avoiding Dean.  He does get tied up in blocks. Bradley loses lane control and has a tendency towards ankle tackles.  But Clay doesn’t seem to stagger the coverage much.

As is your opinion of Wallace.

Having said that the majority of sports opinions are conjecture so...

I could say I think Barry Sanders is the best RB ever, another might say Jim brown or emmit smith, it's conjecture, except if one said Hasty thats not conjecture just idiotic.

It's not idiotic To say Jenkins a former pro bowker who is only 35 would be better than a K von Wallace who has never shown an ounce of anything on the field,  its conjecture, I'd argue to say it's not is idiotic.

I liked Elijah Riley, didnt he get hurt, or did he just suck,I can't remember???

Jenkins is far from washed. Started 16 games last year with a PFF rating of 65. Epps, who everyone's says is solid, has a 55 rating. And he won't be starting here. Can just use him to his strengths situationally. Again, a no brainer, if at all possible, considering we are 1 injury away from a bum like Wallace getting major snaps.

The odds of players not getting worse as they get to the mid thirties is not good. Bodies break down fast. But sure, keep pining for a guy who won’t come here.

And I think everybody here recognizes Wallace sucks. Go through other teams depth charts, how many 4th safeties would you consider even adequate?

Don’t you know there’s a magical safety out there we can sign to replace Wallace? Why hasn’t Howie figured this out yet?

Pulisic for the goal for Team USA!  But he is really hurt

Tsk tsk... You can't judge a Book by his cover.

Is he really or... is he just a soccer player doing soccer player things?

Zach Wilson was drafted at #2 overall. Teams make mistakes all the time.

Pivoting quickly from mistakes is critical.
