I believe the Eagles could have won.

I think we could have, sure, but what gives me pause, is we had a tendency to struggle against the AFC back then. Even that regular season, we lost to Indy, Jax, and Tennessee, and early on, struggled against the Texans playing in their 4th game as a franchise, before pulling away late in the game.

I’m guessing sermon gets a shot in the preseason next year to make the roster. Imo Scott is likely gone so they might keep him as the 4th back. I’m also not against Mattison depending on the price. I’m for it if he comes somewhat cheap I’m not against that. He’s only 24 and only has 375 carries in his career so far.

Speaking of Sermon. I noticed that in one of the press conferences last week -- it might have been Steichen's -- he referred to the Eagles "three running backs". Three, not four. It felt like it was a slip of the tongue that meant "yeah, we only have three running backs who are any good". Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I generally translate "coach speak" pretty well, and it felt damning to me.

In other words, I would not be shocked in the least if Sermon is a player waived in the next coming weeks in order to facilitate a roster move. Obviously he would likely be signed to the practice squad if he clears waivers. That'd be their intention.

I expected Brooks to get some run eventually. Disappointment

Not that he’s very good but I’m sure someone was gonna post it

That may be true cuz he's in town for a charity event. Missed most of his ESPN interview today, but the host seemed to think Jenkins was leaving a crack through the door to come back. I don't think it's a big issue with the finnagling needed to make it happen. Jimmy Kempski even proposed it in his latest piece.

Or he's just signing Auden Tate and Mac McCain again along with someone else.

Where is Julian Vandervelde these days?

Bradley is always someone you see running around on special teams but you rarely see him actually make a play. Not a fan.

Now a guy like Kamu Grugier-Hill on the other hand...that dude was always catching the eye on special teams.

And he could kick...

Always like KGH, he's a solid back up great special teamer.

Now I live … between Northern Liberties and New Orleans, where my two daughters are. One is four. The oldest is eight.

Northern Liberties is Philadelphia

The article is also a Philly Mag, titled "one of us", and mostly talks about his favorite areas of the city of Philadelphia.

Okay so he lives in both places and is attending a charity event. Your point is extraneous overall. 🤭

"next couple weeks". Sounds like IR for sure.

Ok? All I said was he lives in Philly. I'm not making any point. I don't really understand what your argument even is. Your point about attending a charity event is equally extraneous overall.

That was not an important part of the original comment. It was being petty. No? And he lives in New Orleans also. I was merely and facetiously stating he may be at the airport for real.

I wasn't being petty at all. I was adding context of why he would be in the city since most people probably don't know he has a house there, partly lives there and is still very active in the community.

Sounds like something that someone extremely petty would say.

You wondered how it was that you ended up on my Ignore list a while back.  It was because of your posting useless drivel comments like the one above.  All comments like that do is waste people's time and pollute the tone of the Blog.  You know that the chances of getting him to change are zero percent, so why waste your effort?
