Good news to people who prefer 1 o’clock games. Eagles fandom aside I think Eagles/Giants is the better matchup but what do I know.

Hope you guys smash the Giants.

Yup that 03 team was a mess but somehow pulled it together to limp Into the NFCCG.

03 is remembered poorly for the beginning (0-2 and 8 turnovers) and the end (Panthers NFCCG) but in the middle they were kind of awesome. McNabb was 23-2 over 25 starts from week 7 of 2003 through week 15 of 2004, Including 10-1 to finish off 2003. The 2003 NFCCG was a mess but the cheap shot injury and the refs allowing assault by the DBs (happened to Manning too on the same day) were big factors. turnovers in 2 games

The 2003 Eagles were -38 in the first two weeks and +125 the rest of the way.

I always like prime time games. They have that big game feel, I don’t have to use Sunday Ticket and be 30 seconds behind everyone, and I’m a nite owl anyway. But I am probably in the minority on this.

I used to like prime time games.  But these days... 5:30 AM wake ups are harder to do.   And the whole next day is tough.

I hate to say it but Philly wasn’t beating New England in the Super Bowl in 03. I do think you guys we’re just as good as them in 04 but unfortunately they won. I think in 2002 though Philly wins the SB against Oakland if they got there.

Oh, I forgot the big one.

Carolina players were juicing big time. It came out in court. Their punter was even juiced to the gills.

They beat someone before you guys in triple or double overtime, was it Seattle if memory serves me right?

Age of Empires will always be my favorite game. Using dial-up internet and kicking people off the phone to play online with my neighbor.

That would make you Carl Weathers in this gif I’m using to show that I, too, like night games for the same reasons.

coulda swore I read they put Patroits and Texans in prime time. Which was puzzling.

Texans Browns should be the Sunday nighter this week. It’s the most intriguing game by far

We were better, even with a hobbled TO. Unfortunately, as we found out later, Brady knew the plays before they were called. Robbed!

Is this based on the Rams walkthrough tapes which was a recanted lie? The Patriots knew McNabb was going to float a pick to the end zone because he did the same thing the play before but got a do over.

Watch the pick to Bruschi. Was the play call to wildly miss the RB on a crosser and hit Bruschi in the chest? Did the Patriots steal the 'throw it to Bruschi' play so they were ready for it?

This is some serious tin foil hat stuff to still hold the lies 18 years later. BB played a 5-man line and looked for screens. The idea was to stop Westbrook and watch McNabb throw the game away. No stolen plays required.

Even Pinkston had 4 for 80 before he got the cramps in the 3rd quarter. Did the Patriots steal the Eagles 'hey its humid in Florida in February so drink some pickle juice play from them? Pinkston out, McNabb puking... some conspiracy that.

The Patriots were +3 in turnovers and still only won by 3. They must really suck at stealing plays.

Maybe at this point I'm just being dumb but I still think the Chargers could be a really good team. And I'm interested in seeing if the Dolphins play good teams and see if their offense can look as unstoppable against them.  So I get it.

Here's hoping Watson pulls a Russell Wilson with his new team

You guys were the only great team in the NFC that year but you were the best team in the NFL by far IMO.

I will meet you at good but maybe not really good.

Williams and Allen have been healthy for about 5 and 3 games each out of 11 so the offense can be better.

That D is a mess though.

I'm also looking forward to seeing what Tua does against 4 really good defenses with 3 of them on the road.

In fairness to Gannon, this was pretty cool how they tricked Rodgers on the coverage.

Have a read of this article my friend, with the actual participants in the game and report back. 😉

True but they have some really good players.  Jackson going down is brutal but Mack, Bosa and James are all studs. They're a group that if everything finally clicks they could be a force.  But it never seems to quite work for them.

Their run D is brutal though.  Most likely Dolphins run all over em

They have everything on paper to be a great team, and really have for a long time dating back to prime Rivers. They just are always cursed with injuries and bad coaching.
