If you want anyone to take you serious don't say last year was basically hurts rookie year.

Also ending a response with lol does nothing to support your point of view.

Interesting that I was pretty fair in my assessment of hurts and you took that as me insulting him or you.🤷‍♂️

Wasn't insulted. But come on, he barely played his rookie year and had a new coordinator. Again. That is a fair point. See what 2 years in same system can do.

Okay. And how does Stafford look now? Only works if you have an impeccable offensive line. How about Mahomes in 2020 & 2021 Superbowls? The game is evolving and moving into athletic qbs more and more. No?

Other than that, how was the play Mrs Lincoln?

Probably off topic: but Eagles fans in the Washington, DC area: where's a good place to buy an Eagles jersey, hoodie, etc. in person?  I am hoping to avoid a trip up to Delaware to buy Eagles gear.  Thanks!

My son wants a Hurts jersey for his birthday which is this weekend.  (I know about the affiliate links, sorry, I should have ordered this sooner.  My son didn't tell me he wanted this until yesterday *facepalm*).

They are not the same type of QB. They come in different flavors. No one is saying he's perfected that skill yet. Has shown progress and the kid has shown that he will work on his craft. He will let his other strengths play in the meantime. Not the perfect QB but a pretty good one. Better than Brady right now as a matter of fact.

Run first QBs either A) Have shortened careers due to injury or B) Fail to win Super Bowls. Now QBs who CAN run like Mahomes are a complete different story.

Also the narrative isn't changing on what a QB is/needs to be today. Tom Brady playing at at a high level 46 doesn't mean other QBs are doing so as well.In fact none are. He is the concrete definition of an outlier.

Also this whole "QBs need to be able to run" narrative is just as wrong. None have proven that was the skillset needed to win the ultimate game.

Theres 3 QB's with more than 100 rushing Attempts, I'll let you guess who they are

Have you not watched the games? He wasn't running much for half of those games and got out of RPOs. When did that happen? When they had Goedert. Their running styles are way different. Hurts got a large chunk of those yards last game. Running in the open field when he had large holes. Any QB should have done that.

Mahomes takes off a bunch too and no one even talks about it. Watch every KC game, he makes a lot hero ball throws and crazy irresponsible shuffle passes that would get chewed up on this board with critique. But hes Mahomes. Hurts is still a young QB and will evolve to not running as much as we go along here. And was for awhile. But with no Goedert the dynamic has changed. It's obvious. The coaching staff is encouraging him to make plays and that's what he's doing. He's taking what the offense is giving him and then some and overall avoiding the big hit because he's playing smart football. 3 interceptions all year and one of them was a total fluke on a bobble and another on a bomb. Let's talk about that!

Mahomes runs under 4 times a game.

Hurts runs 11.5 times a game, thus far.

Mahomes is also the best passer in football.

Take a nap.

You know, somebody called you unintelligent this morning, and me, not knowing anything about you decided to say nothing.

You’ve certainly proven that original poster to be right, ten times over

It's not a fair point it's idiotic, it was idiotic when it was said last year it's idiotic now.

He had a full training camp as a rookie took practice reps, got some game reps, was in meetings etc... All the stuff rookies do.

Now if he were in IR the whole year than yeah it would be a more accurate statement but in no way was last year basically hurts rookie year.

Having two years in the same system is helpful and as such I expect he plays better this year in the playoffs than the crap show that was last year.

Having said that no one expects him to be Steve young after 2 years, I didn't expect him to be Steve young after 10 years, hurts doesn't have anywhere near the arm Steve had but when I see hurts and his work ethic and leadership and running ability he reminds me of Steve young with a weaker arm.

Ill take Steve young with a weaker arm any day of the week and twice on Sundays but Hurts isn't there yet, he's still got work, we'll see if he gets there, playoffs will be a big test for him, playoffs is big boy ball and come playoff time he'll need to win from the pocket.

for the lawyer types in here

Lets say you get a building permit for a detatched garage. Approved, have the permit since September.

You start excavation and have it framed out to pour concrete. Now township comes and says you cant put it there. When they already approved it to go there.

After about $20k already in to the project now have a work stop order. Hearing scheduled, not till 12/20.

What sort of recourse is there, if any?

Ok, so Lamar's and Hurts numbers are identical

Lamar, fields, and Hurts are the only 3 QB's in the league with more than 100 rushing attempts

Lamar and Fields have 6.8YPC while Hurts(who has the most rushing attemots) is only 4.7

i dont know if it's denial with you, or scared to admit it, but Hurts is a running QB who is an ok thrower. Like Lamar. and Fields

Mahomes, Allen, even Herbert, are passers who are athletic.

HUGE difference

You boneheads are killing me. Not Mahomes of course not. No one is. He's a developing passer and showing much progress since last year. I'm being patient with him as opposed to you who already gave up in him. He actually has weapons this year. Didn't have them last year. Think he's coming along great for age and will evolve. Don't dismiss his scrambling ability and how it helps winning. 3 interceptions is better than okay.

that's probably where you should've started and ended your point, because while this is true, as of right now, he's still a running QB.

I don't think you are. I haven't seen anyone say they like it. Not just here either, even all the podcasts/articles I've read with it. It got a "meh" at best.

I am not extreme with him and have always have been reasonable. I have problems with people who already made up their minds on him. I think he will get there.

Not a lawyer, but I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

Have you read the small print on the permit or on the application that may give the township recourse to change their mind?

What would you say hurts biggest weaknesses are?

You missed an opportunity for one of the great internet age acronyms…I am not a lawyer, or…IANAL

I don't even know what the debate is at this point, but Hurts is on pace to shatter the QB rushing attempt record by like 30 or so carries.

Would it be inappropriate to suggest running your excavation a little deeper, hide the bodies of the township personnel, then pour the concrete?

If so, then don’t do that.

Is he better than the Rams 2015 offense?
