This was after you called the blackout magical and another doofus talked about pixie dust.

Discussions evolve, though not for simpletons like you

Nope, your strawman that implied I said the blackout had no effect preceded it.

San Fran put up 6 points in the first half, had multiple turnovers, and were down 28-6. Then the blackout happened and they rallied back. Those are just the facts. Logic would dictate the blackout had some effect on that game

Yes, I'd rather believe that a particular player (whose contributions to the final score are easily and objectively quantifiable) were a far bigger factor, than the subjective and almost magical effect a blackout had on boosting only one team's offense. Did the blackout have some small effect? Perhaps. Was it enough to discredit and downplay SF's offensive performance? Nope.

What you didn't see was the fairy dust that was sprinkled on the San Fran players during the blackout that gave them their magical powers!

This ukn place

Wrong. Go read the thread again, slowly

WGB is of the belief that Kaep rallied the team back and almost won. My argument was simply the blackout is the main reason he was able to rally back. WGB doesn’t think the blackout had an effect.

So please, insert whatever thing you wanna say about Hurts now, but he had nothing to do with the discussion we were having

I never said it had no effect whatsoever, Mr. Strawman.

You ascribed it to being magical. Don’t stop now

Oh don't get me wrong, I don't want to give him a massive $50M/year deal. Just saying that Kaep lost that game by a pretty slim margin, so not sure he's the best example to use there. If Hurts gets us that close this year, I'll gladly watch that movie.

Those that dont learn from the past and all

ill skip that rebooted bad movie

Because you implied it was the main reason why the Niners offense performed well in the second half. Something can have a small effect but not be the main reason for a result. A slight breeze can have an effect on a QB's throwing, but to say it's the main reason why a QB struggled in a game is silly. A cold temp at kickoff can help benefit the running game but to say it would only help one RB but not the other, or why it's the main reason for an RB performing well is almost like ascribing a magical quality to cold temps.

Agreed. She has a site where she apparently shows them off. That is if someone wants to pay to see them.

Well Allen did show flashes (against scrubs) as a gunner so I have been looking at him as a prospective call up, but not both.  Frankly, I wonder about Jackson getting sent to the PS and them calling up Togiai.  Better in STs and gives them a TE besides Stoll who can block.  But he may be out of elevations.

Togiai was elevated the first two games, but it was his screw up in the Vikings game that led to the blocked field goal and he hasn’t been called up since then. So he still has one more option coming.

I agree that Jackson is vulnerable on the 53. I think the primary candidates are he, Sermon, Chachere, and Wallace. Bradley could be a candidate too. Perhaps even Kyron Johnson. And as I mentioned the other day, Siposs could be waived and then activated off the PS for three weeks. I would be surprised if they waive Covey although I concede it’s possible they could use Ward off the PS for a couple games to save a roster spot. But Covey is better than Ward. (Check our Ward’s career return average and factor in how many horrible decisions he made letting balls bounce away from him over the years.)

I heard it said that the initial intention with Linval Joseph was that he would be a cut candidate and that he would be activated off the PS after that, but I wonder if he might be too vulnerable to getting claimed on waivers. A team in contention might actually claim him.

I don’t think Devon Allen ever showed anything that would solve any current ST issues. He looked good as a gunner on punts, but punt coverage has not been a real issue, other than the Dallas game. It’s kickoff coverage that’s been the problem and that isn’t something that Allen’s skill set seems ideal for. On the outside on a punt, a fast guy can make a play. But kickoff coverage isn’t designed the same way.

I agree on this assessment of Allen as a gunner and on KORs.  Thing is, the center of the Eagles KOR are K Johnson, Bradley, Blankenship (since active) Dean and Boston Scott.  Chachere actually plays well on STs.  Of those, K Johnson engages in and doesn’t come off blocks and Dean doesn’t keep his lane discipline.  Wallace actually plays well too. But Jackson and Calcaterra are invisible and P Johnson hasn’t been much of a factor.  Not sure Allen’s speed might not help, especially against Dallas’ RS.

Pitchers that get ejected have a pitcher come in out of the bullpen and warm up. Why does baseball do this? Because players that sit for long periods of time are prone to injury, need time to loosen up, etc.

But no, a football player not being able to run/pass for over an hour is an exception. That can't possibly have an impact.

Like, what is confusing?

What is confusing is that you are conflating body/physical readiness with brain/emotional readiness.

We could probably cut Shaun Bradley and get him on the PS.
