If Gannon gets a head coaching job next year, it's assumed his replacement will be Fangio, and it might be, but I wouldn't rule out Staley when he gets fired. Lurie was infatuated with him and wanted him as the coach as his #1 target before the Chargers hired him. And as a DC with the Rams he was very good. He also fits that "young and forward thinking" profile Lurie likes.

Didn't Staley kinda stiff arm the Eagles when they were interested in hiring him as a coach?  He didn't really seem like he wanted it.  F that dude.

Oh, and least I forget, a shout out to Covey.  Yes, the punts were the kind that were returnable all day long save for one but still Covey deserves a round of applause and especially from people like me who have **** on him all year long.  Not that I'm convinced but it was a nice effort and worth noticing.

There is no way they trade him in that scenario. There's not a single GM in the NFL that would trade a 24 year old QB who won the MVP and SB. At that point you suck it up and pay him.

Add on void years to contracts like you're Enron circa 2001.

Every player has a price. If Houston offered us #1 overall, their future 1sts and Cleveland 1sts, you'd have to consider it.
Now, that won't happen, but Hurts is not in the Mahomes untradable category.

That was a Super Bowl team performance.  We had a few of those back in 2107.  This is the perfect time of the year.  Another one next week would do the trick.

Man, you're wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ahead of us here back in 2022.

Ahh yes, the first Cyborg Bowl played on the moon!

Hurts is now a 93.7 rated career passer. That moves him ahead of Foles at 93.2 as #1 for Eagles QBs with 10+ starts (Garcia with 6 starts is 95.8)

This was start number 31 and he's already #1. He is right behind Foles in win % with a 20-11 record.  Foles was 21-11.

Ya, but one of Foles wins counts as like eleventy billion wins.

That was Daboll I think. The Eagles wanted Staley but they got a late start on the search and Staley either already agreed to become the Chargers coach or was far along in the negotiating process. Daboll flat out told the Eagles no thanks and had no interest in even interviewing.

Don't see Howie accepting a deal like that. It doesn't take advantage of our SB window. The only magical trade that Howie would consider would have a legit QB coming our way as well.

We had similar performances against the Bears, Broncos, and 49ers in '17.  The types of commanding performances that end up paving a way to a visit to the SB.

I took all of that into account.  I’m counting on Dallas and Minny dropping one more game.

I actually think the titans game for Dallas is going to be a letdown type of game after the eagles. Whether they lose to us or beat us i see them facing the titans and having an emotional letdown.

Lamar hurt his knee so it’s definitely a possibility if not likely.

Colts win would be huge.

They’re done.

Not even the 1991 Eagles' D could lead a team with no QB to the playoffs.

Damn, San Fran is finished. It's us and Dallas for the NFC crown.

Just in case anyone thinks QBR is anything but a bad joke.

Hurts today 74.7  (130.3 QB rating 380 yards 3 TDs)

Tannehill today 73.1 (97.0 QB rating 141 yards 1 TD)

I know it was easy to confuse them today since they were so close in performance. 👀

Staley did as well.

They might be able to squeak into the playoffs, but it feels like their upside is to steal a game. Brock Purdy is no Nick Foles.

I suddenly like our run defense very much.

Jimmy G is hurt.  Man I can't believe it.

Jimmy G done for the year. Broken foot.

Craziest broken foot in 30 years

I suggested that in the point spread thread. Nice!

I can't see 49s a legit SB contender with Purdy.
