Not really. We fired Doug late in the cycle. He became the Chargers HC a few days after Doug was fired. He was probably wrapping up negotiations when Eagles called.

Im actually surprised at the deadline SF didn’t try to acquire a better backup. Considering the fact Jimmy G isn’t the epitome of health either

They have a leg up on where the Eagles were in '91.  That was game 1, and the 49ers are already at 8 wins, with only a few chasers in line.  Stealing 2 more likely gets them in.  But as you say... they will be pretty much dead in the water come the playoffs.

Last 5 are vs. tampa, at seattle, vs. Washington, at Vegas and vs. cardinals. I’m guessing they can find a way to go 2-3. But like you said likely done once they get in without having a Qb. Talk about being cursed at the Qb position.  had their starter in Lance get injured for the year and then their backup in Jimmy G also got hurt for the year. 

I know Brock Purdy more than likely can’t lead the 49ers through the playoffs but it’s funny seeing so many people go from "Jimmy Garappolo is garbage” to "oh man, this is huge implications!”

Tbh i thought Jimmy G was better for the team they had currently that is in win now mode. He could get you to the playoffs and win a Game or  l2. Not sure with Lance they have a chance to win a SB this year or a lock to make the playoffs. He needed seasoning and experience. I think Lance was better long term option as Jimmy G i don’t think is good enough when you need him to be to win a SB.

How about Foles demands a release since he’s third string and not even active on game days and gets claimed by a Bay Area team

I think the colts lose but their defense is good enough to make it close for a while. However i could see them getting boat raced and getting deflated if things go wrong on offense the first two possessions.

He did.

There were a couple passes to nit pick early. And then a bunch of low balls thrown to TEs in the middle of the field.

Overall, a good game.

He even kept his eyes down field on scrambles even though he always ended up throwing it away. It was much better than every other game from him this year. On par with weeks 2 and 3 which were the last times he really looked good.

That Seattle game is likely for the division... if they win it.

The Colts can run on the Cowboys. The Colts can stop the run. Dak cant win much when his team does not run for 120+

Possible. Seattle has KC the following week and the jets the week after. That 3 game stretch is brutal. They should easily beat the carolina and rams that’s before and after that stretch.
