So... why did Mark Ingram run out of bounds 1 yard short of the first on that last Saints drive when he could have easily gotten the first? We owe him one!

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

He's gonna basically rape a QB needy team. Man, and out of all the teams, the Saints. Too good.

I think he pulled up because he hurt himself.

That angry Bucs fan will be ordering extra hashbrowns at the Waffle House tonight.

Breakfast of champions (and a few years off my life). Double loaded hash browns with a side of bacon and a large orange juice (hey, something has to be healthy) at Waffle House.  Wife refers to it as my cardiac special but I tend to have it once a long road trip.  Developed the taste for it at the Waffle House right before the turnoff for Lehigh for Eagles TC with my son and whatever friend we had in tow.   Man I miss those Lehigh days.

You don't want to play a guy in the playoffs that is so committed that after 22 years and all the awards and being the GOAT you sacrifice having a family for one more year of football at 45 years of age. That's commitment.

Swap out that OJ for coffee and that's my go to as well. They closed our local Waffle House here in my small NC town two years ago. And that will probably add a few extra years down the road for me if I'm lucky lol

It's been fun getting to root for teams to suck the last couple years. I hope Howie can get another 1 in 2024 so we can do this one more time

Something tells me we get to do this again next year. Dude is a wizard.

My favorite Waffle House story was me and some buddies going there after a night of drinking. It was mobbed at 2:00AM and we sat there for a good 15 minutes before the waitress came over with a plate of at least 20 strips of bacon and said "sorry for the wait. Have this while I get your drinks and put in the order”

I'm pretty stoked right now. I spent about two hours tonight just cursing at the Bucs and Brady, as well as all the Eagles fans who have been assuring me all year long that we have nothing to worry about with the Saints, that there is no way they're going to win that stupid, lame division. I was convinced that the Saints were going to win tonight, and even predicted early on that they'd win by more than ten points. And the game was disgusting, as disgusting as I had predicted. So when the Bucs punted down thirteen with about seven minutes to go, I turned off the television and decided to do some paperwork for about twenty minutes.

I run a football pool for family and friends, and every Monday night or Tuesday morning, I have to tabulate all the results from the week and then prepare the new sheets for the coming week. It's sort of tedious but I don't mind. I decided that I would simply mark the Saints off as the winner of the game, and figured, "what the heck, if the Bucs somehow come back and win this thing, I'll be happy as hell to spend another twenty minutes re-doing all of this work." I've played that game a few times over the years and it's never worked out for me.

So when I was all finished, I decided to check the internet for the final score and discovered that it was actually 16-10 with more than a minute to go. That seems interesting, I thought. But I figured that the Saints probably had the ball and were running out the clock. Lo and behold, when I turned on the television a moment later, the Bucs not only had the ball but were at about the fifteen yard line with about twenty seconds to go. Naturally I stayed glued to the set, not really expecting a victory (and a total re-do of all the paperwork I had just done) but certainly hoping for one. And then it happened. Damn, that's sweet. Not quite the same as a joyous Eagles win, but pretty damn sweet.

At this point, it seems almost impossible for the Saints to make the playoffs. And a top ten pick seems almost assured. Nice.

No Waffle Houses locally. Probably good for a few extra years but on the road, the urge hits me.  No coffee for me.  After a severe caffeine addiction, two months in Italy cured me and I never went back.

Saints win over Tampa would’ve meant they had a 28% chance of making the playoffs.

Instead, the Saints loss to Tampa means they have a 0.6% chance of making the playoffs.

In one day, the Phillies secure their future with Trea Turner and the Eagles secure their future... all thanks to Mr. Tom Brady. And THE AINTS. True story!! That pick is gonna be so much fun. It will multiply like amoeba. We will be talking about an extra future 1st round pick that has been acquired, every year til about the year 2030, the way Howie is playing this. Just wanna know who his next victim is going to be, to cough up said picks.

I literally never went to that Waffle House and I lived two minutes away from it for 5 years lol

That's not how it went down. She was jealous because his breasts were firmer than hers at their age.

Pretty funny that none of the teams currently in the #3 to 5 draft slots own their own pick. Totally a lost season when you’re terrible and don’t even have a prime pick to look forward to.
