Come on dude.  Hurts is still human.

Neither QB did jack. Defensive struggle. Hurts performed at crunch time in that last drive, only to be denied by Reagor. Need playmakers like Brady had in last drive with Evans and Jones making a crazy catch near the 5 yard line.

How timely! Been talking a lot about him lately on this blog.

Speaking of Reagor, was the basis for the pick escalator ever released?  Any chance of that at this point?

Nope. Never made public. I’m convinced between that and the initial wording there is no actual escalator.

And unless the "escalator" was "still breathing" at the end of the season, don't see us getting it!

First he will need to do something that Murray has that Strong can't, make an NFL roster.

Wrong

Why didn't the Panthers trade him or Darnold for a 6th or 7th prior to the trade deadline? Idiotic.

That's probably why

Strong has been working out for teams all year and even held a workout at an XFL QB camp. Not on a practice squad in a QB starved league is pretty amazing. Still can see a Carson Bowl at some point in the future. Will be Colts and Broncos in that tilt, as Ryan and Wilson fade into the night. And 2 very ill run franchises dig a deeper hole.

Not sure what's wrong about that since you can't win a playoff game if you aren't on a NFL roster and Carson Strong has never made it onto a NFL roster.

But you're often very confused.

And the Rams still had hopes for Stafford to come back at the deadline too, if he had even gotten hurt yet or not.  I can't remember that timeline.

How many passing yards would 2022 Hurts have against the 2021 Eagles defense?

He was hurt well after the deadline

I wonder how much of that process is confidential.  Once the Rams put in a claim it's pointless for others above to do so, if they have an inkling.

I imagine it's completely confidential and then it comes down to how connected GM's are around the league and whether they can get someone to talk. There's too many times where multiple teams put in claims for them to know fully what's going on.

Hurts threw 2 picks in the red zone.   You might be a little new around here.  You might want to take a step back or ask around sport.

After Chip left, Howie was asked about the Jackson and McCoy moves.  He said that it's hard to find talent and you shouldn't let it get away.

We shouldn't ever pick this high again.  Grab the elite talent when you can.

If Will Anderson or Jalen Carter are there just to good to pass up. Screw the extra draft picks.

What do you do if both are there?

Pick Anderson. Carter is awesome, but there's a reason Will Anderson was a projected top 3 pick since he was 19 years old.

Picking Carter over Anderson would be like when the Falcons picked Pitts over Chase. Pitts is a great player, but he's not Chase.

It's tough. There's no right answer.

There is a right answer. One guy has 6 sacks in his entire college career.

The other guy had more sacks (7) in even his least productive season, when he was 19 years old.

Carter has 18.5 TFLs in his career, Anderson has 58.5. It's not close between them as to who is better.

I really don't want to downplay how awesome Carter is, because he is awesome, but Anderson is 1 of 1.

I agree that Anderson has a higher ceiling, but Carter has a higher floor. Anderson is going to be very light for an EDGE, so you're banking him being Micah Parsons.

Fine with me, if I'm wrong let me be wrong banking on the guy who has dominated the SEC since he was a teenager.

In a league where Von Miller has dominated for a decade, and Micah is tearing it up, I have zero doubts about Will Anderson's size, considering he's bigger than both.

A good QB doesn’t put the game on the line by putting the ball in the hands of his least reliable "weapon”.  Hurts was not a good QB that day.  End of the day, the defense and a terrible QB on the other side of the field kept us in that game.  Hurts owned it.  You Squirters should.  He won’t be your friend.  Trust me.

Oh yeah. I trust you. Momma's calling you up for dinner. Take a lil break. I'll letcha.
