Not sure what's wrong about that since you can't win a playoff game if you aren't on a NFL roster and Carson Strong has never made it onto a NFL roster.

But you're often very confused.

If you were at 7th let's say, would you:

A) Trade up to 3 (if Anderson is still there) with our other #1 this year and get Anderson

B) Stay and pick best player available

C) Trade down getting more picks

Obviously a lot goes into this, who is/are the best players available and what are the picks/offers to trade down and to where

B. Trade back and get more picks with the 2nd 1st rd pick

I'd do that with the 2nd 1st rd pick. No way am I trading out of the top 7 and passing on one of the best players in the draft

Jalen Hurts wasn’t even nominated for man of the year award. Something to consider when it comes to his "intangibles”.

Was the nomination for his SAWG?

like who? IF anderson, murphy or carter are there you take them, but after that?

BPA. I'd add Ringo...Cam Smith and Nolan Smith if the saints start winning and push that pick back a bit. More then likely at least 2 qbs will go within the top 3 picks. Right now we are sitting at 5. Anyone of those guys will be there

This guy desperately wants to be LeBron James or something

He left the Cowboys without a contract and they released his medical info the the media in an attempt to look better about not signing him or drive down his cost. I highly doubt he ends up in Dallas.

If those 3 players are gone and we are picking around 10-12 range and we dont trade up or back, then I would keep an eye on Ringo, Cam Smith, Breese, and Tyree Wilson. I think Breese would probably be the pick in that case because there will be a ton of edge rush players to choose from in the late 1st to early 2nd round. Foskey, Verse, BJ Ojulari, Felix Uzomah, Andre Carter, and Nolan Smith could all be options with our 2nd 1st round pick. Gervon Dexter and Siaki Ika are options as well for DT. What we do in free agency specifically regarding the Dline will be telling on what they decide to do with that Saints pick.

Right now Houston is almost guaranteed to have a better pick than New Orleans

It is hard to imagine that Chicago will win one more game than New Orleans in the remaining 5 weeks, so my money is on them to have a better pick than New Orleans

Denver and the Rams both have a better chance of winning one more game than New Orleans in the remaining 5 weeks, but still not great.

So the odds are not goods that current #5 pick will improve.

The outlook for the teams with picks #6, #7 and #8 right now, Carolina, Jacksonville, and Arizona will depend a lot on how they do this weekend.  A loss for any of them drops them into a tie with New Orleans.  A win gives them a one game better record than New Orleans.  Carolina and New Orleans play each other in the final week of the season.Carolina could actually be playing with a chance for the division championship in that game.

So, I wouldn't rule out being better than 7th yet.

IMO, we're likely picking between 6-8, which is the Tyree Wilson/Christian Gonzalez/Bryan Breese range. All very good prospects who fit positions of need.

The big thing was avoiding NO winning the division. Even if the Saints finish 10, there are enough good prospects there (3 QBs + 7 defensive players).

Goes to show how special and great he is that he did this in back to back weeks in completely different ways.  Pick your poison, either you choose for him to beat you with his legs or his arm.

I tend to put players into tiers and then choose for need/scheme fit.  So, Anderson/Carter are top tier, A+, I wouldn't tradeback if available.  Then it's possible that you have a half dozen players with an A grade, who I'd select from if those top guys are gone (e.g., Murphy, Bresee); but this also gives you a framework for how far you'd be willing to tradeback without getting too far from BPA.

I’d imagine it’s a 2 man race between him and Mahomes

Kempski on the recent BGN poscast: "Jalen Hurts has not had a bad game yet this season.  You can't say that about any other QB this year."

Justin Jefferson will be in the MVP race and I can see Diggs being the same too.

Hmm, not sure about Diggs. When looking at MVP, you have to ask what the team would be without that player. I think Buffalo is still a 4, maybe 5 loss team without Diggs. As great as he’s played, they would have found other ways to overcome circumstances; they’re too good not to.

But Jefferson is a good thought. Minnesota probably doesn’t have less than 6 losses without him, at least a 4 game swing. They lose to the Commanders, they needed him to beat Detroit, absolutely lose to Buffalo, the Saints game he was really the only reason they won…

One other name I think fits that description is Tyreek Hill. I believe he’s 100% the reason Tua is slinging the ball like he’s been this dominant his whole life. I really don’t think they’re a playoff team without him. And it doesn’t hurt he’s having a historic season.

Counterpoint to hill is how they looked without tua. Even with hill and waddle healthy they weren’t nearly as good. I think they both (tua and hill) sort of cancel each other out
