He wasn't bad in either game.

72.2% passing for 239 yards, 61 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs and no turnovers vs the Cardinals.  Becoming the first Eagles QB to win in that stadium.

Washington game as well he played well enough to win.  The one interception hit AJ Brown in his hands but he was unable to out muscle the defender for it.  He hit Quez deep for what should have led to the go ahead score but Quez fell and then fumbled.  There was a alo a costly fumble by Goedert when he had his head twisted around by a face mask.

In the Arizona game he looked awful, he couldn't handle the blitz at all. He had  70% completion because he was throwing 2 yard passes all game

OBJ to Eagles = agent trying to scare cowboys into signing him.

The Washington loss was a team loss.  Hurts had a fumble.  The INT was thrown into double coverage it's not like that's not partially on Hurts.  There were definitely other mistakes.  The fumble, arguably, had much more to do with the design of the play rather than Hurts himself.

He gave his great WR a chance to make a play and hit him right in the hands.  It wasn't a bad pass.   Hurts had 3 TDs that Washington game. Can't look at that Washington game and say Hurts played bad because he didn't.

That as the gameplan with a ton of WR screens called.  He didn't have any turnovers, he moved the offense and had nearly 300 total yards of offense and 2 TDs. I swear some of you would rather lose with Hurts just throwing the ball then win with him using his legs to help the team win.  He did what he needed to to get the team a win in a place this franchise has never been able to win before.

Arizona and Washington may have been Hurts' worst games.  But it would be a stretch to call them bad.

Watch Atlanta, NO, Carolina, Denver, Houston, Indy, etc.  That is "bad" quarterback play.

Unless you're just trolling, admit that Hurts has become (to the surprise of many) a really good QB.

I’m not sure Beckham even offers more than Pascal at this point from a blocking and role standpoint. It feels like he’d at least be another month away from being ready to go.

You have no idea what the game plan was, but it's safe to assume that it wasn't to throw a wr screen every other play. I could just as easily say hurts checked to a wr screen every other play with the same amount of evidence you have. He didn't play well inthat game, that doesn't mean he isn't good that means he had a bad game. It happens.

The Arizona game is not a stretch, he was not good in that game. Just because he wasn't davis mills doesn't mean it wasn't a bad game

He didn't have a bad game.  72.2% completion with 300 yards total, 2 TDs and 0 interceptions and the win is not a bad game.

Sure, greatest QB ever. Never had a bad game in his life let alone this season. Idk why I even thought this would be a reasonable discussion about the God-King

Maybe, but he's out of elevations. Wouldn't be surprised to see Anthony Harris when he clears waivers and have Chachere sit by his phone.

Possibly. Makes sense if Harris is willing to go PS. That could fill the role at S until CJGJ comes back (depending if he can).

Welp, when I said "more than $350" I was thinking more than 9 years.  So I was right both ways.

I'm only going to say this one more time, because it's really a waste of time.  These contracts are ridiculous.

Wrong.

Situation: Russia nukes Ukraine, NATO becomes enraged, and China decides to buddy up with them to take over the world. Eagles have the #1 seed and are hosting the NFCCG, and beyond all reasonable odds, Jalen Hurts is the only player on the team drafted into service.

Also on the list of extraordinarily unlikely events, every team that drafted a QB in the 2020 first round has cut their draft pick, and they’re all perfectly healthy. Trey Lance has made a miraculous recovery which is probably not the least likely circumstance in this hypothetical.

Between Trey Lance, Zac Wilson, Mac Jones, Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields… who do you play? They’re picked up early January, so they have about a month in the system.

Oh yeah and Gardner Minshew has, uh… died of sickle cell anemia. Very tragic, but we got over it surprisingly quick.

Why jump to hyperbole? Oh yeah, because you have no ground to stand on.

Looking at the game again, I think Hurts was drawing his OL offsides on purpose so he'd have the opportunity for more passing yards.

They gotta be getting close to the max number of guys they are allowed to bring off of IR.

OBJ didn't work out for NYG, Buffalo or Dallas. He's probably not playing this year.

I counted it out the other day.

Dillard, Davis, Maddox, Robinson

Still to come: Goedert, CJGJ, Quinn

They would have 1 more
