Disagree. Woolen and Sauce have been the best 2 CBs this year. And that’s no knock on slay or bradberry, the two rooks have been lights out

I don't know about Edwards as Defensive MVP,  but he's clearly underestimated here.

Worked hard to both add strength and speed, and it shows on the field, high IQ, captain of the defense, much improved in pass coverage.

Would't break the bank for him but would definitely sign him over White.

I know about Edwards as defensive MVP.  It's laughable.  He's a guy who can only look adequate if he's surrounded by others more talented than himself.  At Wisconsin, he could be the defensive MVP, because that's a school that generally brings in smart, but limited athletes.  Edwards is the top of the smart, but limited athlete pile.

In the NFL, there are smarter and more gifted athletes all over.   On this defense, Slay, Bradberry, Reddick, CJGJ, Hargrave would all be listed before Edwards.  White likely would be higher on the pecking order as well.  And what we saw with Dean in a very limited stint will be interesting moving forward.

Long story short... having a guy like Edwards on the team is nice.   BUT, he's also a guy that you are looking to upgrade every offseason, because he's just not that good.  Fortunately, in today's NFL, that position is far less valuable than in years past.   But, give me White over Edwards if the money is the same.   White fits today's NFL much better than Edwards.  But, given that, I think White's price tag will be considerably higher than Edwards.  So, the new question becomes, how much more valuable is White than Edwards?  And the elephant in the room is:  Which spot do the Eagles see as a better fit for Dean moving forward?  Dean showed up nicely last game in his limited snaps.  Will be good to see him again this week.

Anyone else worried about that terrible turf at the metlife?

@LeanMeanGM

Eagles 27

Giants 21

Hurts 2 rushing TDs

Dickerson gets injured and goes on IR

Literally the worst prediction of all time.
Boo this man!!!

Lol.

If Dean was like 3 inches taller he would be perfect to replace White imo. Dean is a tough call because you can see his athleticism and instincts in the few snaps he had. His size is going to be his downfall as its going to be tough for him to get off a lineman who gets his hands on him, and hes going to have to use his speed to get around them.

The issue Lane has and will always have... is that LTs get more press than RTs.  LT and RT are not differentiated in the Pro Bowl voting, so being a RT, he'll get far less love than the LTs.

Yup.  He'll thrive if he can play behind JD and they can keep him clean, like he was a UGA.  But, if he's got to take on blockers... it won't be good.  He'll get engulfed too easily.

That's not what I said but I'll still stand by what I actually did say.

Give me Huntley and the kings ransom  Lamar would of got over Lamar every day of the week

Lamar is better then Huntley. But he's not 3 or 4  first rounders and a couple later round picks better than Huntley.

Still butt hurt that no one cares about Etienne I see.

Uhhh, you sure about that?

Edwards is much better than White. It's why he doesn't come off the field while White does in dime.

Dean looks like he can give the team what White gives them. Neither White nor Dean can do what Edwards does.

I wanted Woolen in this draft so bad. I think he was picked right before the Eagles too and then the Eagles traded back.

Nice to see couples getting along during the holidays. It's a stressful time of year

I really liked woolen too. A 6'4, 4.26 guy is always going to be dangerous in the secondary

Been watching the All22 of the Bengals and the Seahawks as well as the Eagles?  Didn’t think so.  Got to watch them in entire games, not just highlights. I will have to disagree they are the best CBs. Sauce is very talented and mirrors as well as Slay.  I think he will get to the point where he is the best in the game from around his class.  Woolen, not so sure.  His speed and size help him a lot but quickness can beat him.  But you can see in both players that they don’t have the experience that Slay and Bradberry. Given his speed, Bradberry’s instincts and smarts really show on the field.

Bengals?

Woolen has 6 ints, with each coming in separate games. So it’s not like he had one game with a bunch. And he’s not like diggs last year who was being super aggressive.

Sauce is arguably the best cb in the league already and I’d venture a guess he’s going to be named first team all pro this year. I think woolen also gets that designation. I think slay is just behind them, and it’s close.
