Bengals?

Woolen has 6 ints, with each coming in separate games. So it’s not like he had one game with a bunch. And he’s not like diggs last year who was being super aggressive.

Sauce is arguably the best cb in the league already and I’d venture a guess he’s going to be named first team all pro this year. I think woolen also gets that designation. I think slay is just behind them, and it’s close.

Jets. Had Cincinnati on my mind.  Saw enough of Sauce in college for a lifetime against my Coogs in the AAC.  Slay is better than Woolen.

Diggs is a ball hawk but such a press corner that if he can’t get a paw on the receiver, he can be beat, actually pretty easily.

Disagree, but fair enough, I don’t think we’re changing each other’s minds

Was listening to Rueb’s podcast and they were debating the Eagles’ defensive MVP. His pick was TJ Edwards.

Seriously.

How many players would you put ahead of him? At least 4, and that’s being conservative.

That’s actually a tough one. I’m leaning Slay.

Definitely not Edwards.

Because Mahomes has Travis.

Cold miserable weather against 2 teams that are terrible against the run. Should be fun to watch

https://colorcodes.io/green/kelly-green-color-codes/  I think you just have to kind of match.  I think it's likely the digital images will appear somewhat different than the actual uniform.

I don't understand the question.  Edwards is slow.  That play highlighted his lack of speed.   It's not an exception for him.  It is who he is as an NFL LB.  He was even on the slow side for a Big 10 LB.  Edwards' only chance is to be quick to diagnose things to be able to be in the right position.  If he has to change direction, if he has to sprint to get to the right spot, he'll usually not get there.

This is what Lance Zierlein had to say about him prior to the draft on the weakness side... There is a distinct pattern.

Weaknesses
  • Not a natural knee-bender
  • Below-average initial quickness
  • Has to diagnose instantly or he can get too far behind
  • Goes over the top of blocks rather than slipping them
  • Needs earlier block discard in space
  • Loses his leverage as run defender at times
  • Sideline-to-sideline range comes up short
  • Unable to run down ball carriers to the edge without head-start
  • Limitations in man coverage

I don't know about Edwards as Defensive MVP,  but he's clearly underestimated here.

Worked hard to both add strength and speed, and it shows on the field, high IQ, captain of the defense, much improved in pass coverage.

Would't break the bank for him but would definitely sign him over White.

Now that the question has generated discussion.  My personal opinion is that both Iggles_Phan and austinfan both have valid points.  Zeurlein's assessment was probably correct in the spring of 2019 and if Zeurlein were to provide a 2022 assessment it would have evolved somewhat.

No.   The question implies that Edwards being slow is an exceptional situation.  It is not.  He is slow.   That is and has been his biggest knock, which I highlighted with the pre-draft scouting report.  He's a limited athlete playing LB.

I just tried that combination and it looks good, but your security box was empty.  That was a disappointment.

No, the question implies nothing.  You inferred all of the above.
