In 2003 Steve McNair and Peyton were co-MVPs. Peyton had 29 passing TDs while McNair had 24. There’s no way an NFL QB is earning any kind of accolades with those TD numbers in today’s league, let alone a league MVP. I’m too lazy to look up the yards. 

I don’t deny that McNabb choked and got in his own head way too often, but the Eagles were not a perennial contender without him in the early 2000’s.
