In a podcast yesterday he discussed it. But he also said he was feeling better and he thought he passed the worse. There’s always going to be suspicions by some cause he wore the rainbow shirt and they detained him for it then he began getting sick. really need an autopsy to figure out what exactly happened.

also doesn’t help the suspicion that his last article was calling out the Qatar government about all the deaths that have occurred in building and preparing for the WC

He collapsed in the stadium, so unless he was poisoned or something, I'm not exactly sure what else could've happened. Doesn't make a lot of sense for the government to off a guy, while the world cup is literally still ongoing. The risk just wouldn't be worth it.

Doesn’t necessarily have to be the government that would do it. It could’ve been someone in Qatar who didn’t agree with his articles nor his wardrobe choice he made earlier and his views. the brother’s theory is foul play was involved. The autopsy is going to tell the story of what exactly happened and whether the brother is correct or not.

The brother is understandably upset and grieving, but I'm not sure he has any inside information as to was what caused Grant's illness. And any foul play here would have to account for how he got sick in the first place.

Works for me, Carter being picked as the first non-QB only increases our luck at Anderson.

I’m gonna have to watch more game film on Carter; so far I’ve come away less than impressed

Kiper's updated Big Board:

1. Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia

HT: 6-3 | WT: 310 | Previously: 2

That's right -- a new No. 1 prospect. Carter has been fantastic since he returned in late October from missing two games because of a knee issue. He has three sacks in his past five games, including this show of force in the SEC title game against LSU. Georgia had five defenders picked in Round 1 last April, and Carter arguably was more disruptive than all of them in 2021. He's explosive at the snap and finishes well around the ball, even though he didn't put up huge numbers (8.5 tackles for loss). He has a big frame and can play as a 3-technique tackle. He can dominate from the interior.

2. Will Anderson Jr., DE, Alabama

HT: 6-4 | WT: 243 | Previously: 1

Anderson's sack numbers are down (10) from his historic 2021 season (17.5), but he ranks third in the country with 21.5 tackles for loss after being No. 1 (34.5) last season. He has a stunning 124 pressures over the past two seasons, which is 49 more than the second-best defender (San Jose State's Viliami Fehoko). He is a dominant and complete edge rusher who might have been the No. 1 overall pick last April if he had been eligible for the draft. Anderson doesn't take plays off, is versatile and plays the run well. He's explosive off the line of scrimmage. Nick Saban & Co. use him as a stand-up outside linebacker, as a down defensive end and even at tackle, where he can blow up guards and centers at the snap.

10. Myles Murphy, DE, Clemson

HT: 6-5 | WT: 275 | Previously: 11

Murphy has a quick burst out of his stance and can close quickly off the corner. He also plays the run well and is physical at the point of attack. He had 11 sacks in his first two seasons at Clemson and has 6.5 this season. He moves inside to tackle at times, so that versatility will help his stock for NFL teams. I wrote in September that I wanted to see his sack production rise before moving him up, and he has done that with four sacks in his past four games.

11. Tyree Wilson, DE, Texas Tech

HT: 6-6 | WT: 275 | Previously: 15

I wrote about Wilson in our draft notebook last month, and my guy Jordan Reid has been on him since he watched the 2021 tape. Wilson has been a consistent menace off the edge for the Red Raiders. He has seven sacks and 15 total tackles for loss, showing explosion at the snap as a pass-rusher and taking on blockers and holding his ground in the run game. For edge rushers, it's all about physical traits and tools, and the 6-foot-6 Wilson has everything teams want in that regard. He has a high ceiling.

12. Bryan Bresee, DT, Clemson

HT: 6-5 | WT: 300 | Previously: 12

Bresee, a five-star recruit in the Class of 2020, tore his left ACL in September 2021 and played in just four games, but I was impressed with his tape. He locates the ball well and explodes into the backfield at the snap to disrupt throwing lanes and find ball carriers. He's aggressive and hustles on every snap. He can be a major force inside at the next level. Bresee has 2.5 sacks this season.

I am not familiar with Tyree Wilson at all, the other 4 are the consensus top DL and on my wish list.

I’m really not impressed with Bresee at all; he looks slow and plodding to me.

Tyree Wilson is very good. I'd be very happy taking him in RD1 as he's athletic enough to be a 3-4 OLB, but strong enough to be a 4-3 DE. He has the frame to be a 3-4 DE if you wanted him too. He's very explosive, so I'd want him on the LOS rushing the passer. He's going to be blow up the combine.

The Seahawks might take him over Will Anderson, given their types.

I’ll get a good look at him since they play the Vols in the Orange bowl.  My concern with him is he doesn’t have that natural base (fat ass) and I’m worried he’ll get pushed around in the run game.  He moves well for his size.  I don’t see slow and plodding. I see an odd frame for a man his size.

Yeah, I think he has good range but if he isn’t allowed to attack (1-gap) he might be put on rollerskates vs. combos. Obviously, he can improve his technique but the scheme here is working against him unless Gannon is saving him for passing downs. I don’t think Carter is an animal against the run either, but I wouldn’t call it a weakness - he’s farther along.

Scary thought, Will Anderson is actually bigger than Micah Parsons......didn't realize that.  I'm good with getting Anderson and even trading up if needed.....

Anderson is actually very good against the run for his size. He misses tackles and BAMA uses a lot of games to scheme up sacks - but there is very little not to like, obviously . I’m not sure the status of his injury, but Nolan Smith (UGA) has a similar profile if we wanted to upgrade 5-1 OLB/pass rush specialist later.

Yep.  Ideal scenario.

Well the ideal scenario is like New Orleans doesn't win another game....like ever......

If the Eagles finish in the right spot, I could see them dropping back a few and replenishing their draft options. (2/3/4's).

They have to do something to get some mid-round picks back.

We rarely pick in the top-ten.  Stay there and get blue-chip talent.

Options for more mid round picks include using their own pick at the end of the first.

Also, we have a bunch of quality free agents pending - Bradberry, Hargrave, Sanders, Seumalo, CJGJ, White, etc.  Some we'll keep.  The rest will sign elsewhere and present opportunities for 2024 comp picks.  Knowing this (FA happens before the draft), I could see Howie using his 2024 mid-round picks to acquire 2023 mid-round picks during the draft; counting on comp picks to backfill in 2024.

I wasn't suggesting using the Saints pick to trade down.  I think their 1st is the clear trade down option.

And it will be valuable even at the end of the 1st round as it has the extra year in the contract.....so yes, trading back with that pick for a 2nd, 3rd and potentially 4th in like 2023/2024

That would be trading the 2nd 1st.  Having a pick in the top 1-8 picks doesn't happen too often.  You don't trade out of that spot.

The exception being if you can get a return like Miami got when the 49ers went up for Trey Lance.

But was he vaccinated? It would have been much worse if he wasn't.
