Nah. I still trust Brady to knock off the 5th seed cowboys on wildcard weekend way way more than CAR.

The way things are right now, I don't.

Teams can run on the Cowboys which is what Carolina has been doing very well lately.

  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

I thought the emoji would be enough to signal the exaggerated nature of the post. Mahomes is a GOAT candidate in the making, and as much as I love Hurts, I would drive him to KC myself if Andy offered us Mahomes in exchange.

Ah gotcha. Hurts deserves it right now with how he’s playing. He can really seal it and put a bow on it if he goes out and just crushes Dallas.

I give Mahomes a lot of credit because any other year being on pace to throw for 5440 yards and 43 touchdowns you likely are going to win the MVP. Especially cause i think outside of juju and kelce his weapons aren’t nearly as good as in the past 4 years

Disagree. CAR is a doormat, while Brady can still go into GOAT mode for spurts at a time.

Not to mention we know the refs will aid Brady all they can.

That’s good news.

No, it’s not.

The Panthers winning is an excellent result for us. They'll play hard until the final game and will continue to pick above the Saints.

Overall, this has been a great Eagles day.

If Dallas lost today I'd be playing Ice Cube

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles!

that one hurt a lot....

Now that all teams have played

7-5-1 Giant

7-6 Seahawks

7-6 Jets

All we know right now is there wont be a 3 way tie nulling the bet

Hurts deserved to be the mvp of this season with how he’s playing. but to diminish mahomes is ridiculous. He’s been arguably the best Qb in the league since becoming a starter in 2018. You don’t get to 2 super bowls and 4 afc title games without being really good and mvp-esque. Heck the runner up right now in the mvp race is mahomes. Idk being 10-3 and on pace to throw for 5440 yards and 44 td passes is pretty Fing good

Who can you argue that has been better over the last 5 years?

I don't think Hurts will get the MVP, because Mahomes has star recognition and they'll just give it to him. But that doesn't mean he isn't the MVP. Who wins and who is are two entirely different things. As we've learned the last couple seasons with Embiid not winning the MVP, but being the MVP.

One is a subjective decision by a committee and one is objective reality.

I don’t cheer for players to get hurt or root for injury. I’m happy he’s not hurt seriously.

No one really. I’m not sure it’s even close. I guess brady before this year you could argue but really it’s mahomes at the top since 2018.

I think if Hurts puts on a show at Dallas in front of a national audience he'll get the award.

100%

That’s how I tend to feel. I think he’s the front runner right now. that game in Dallas I think it’s going to sway a lot of voters. If hurts is excellent it’s his and i don’t think it’s closer. If he’s not very good mahomes has a shot. If you look at mahomes upcoming schedule plays houston, seattle, Denver and raiders. 3 of those games he’s likely going to put up big numbers (likely winning all of those games unless they just come out flat). I’m guessing also some revenge against Denver at home for his 3 picks.

If I had to put % on the MVP it would be something like this.

  • Hurts 75% (just has to be good the next 5 games) He has played even better than his crazy MVP stats.
  • Tua 15% (has to go nuts in the last 5 games)
  • Mahomes 5% (too many picks, this would be fine in a year without really outstanding players)
  • Allen 4% (see Mahomes)
  • Everyone else 1%
  • Burrow negative 12%  (its hilarious that this joke through 5 games gets late hype for being as good as the MVPs for about 6 weeks)
    • You don't get to be MVP for 2 really good games in October vs crap teams (Atlanta and New Orleans)

Tbh i hate having to root for the giants (non eagles games) and jets and whoever plays seattle lol.

Wentz was MVP in 2017

Embiid in 20 and 21

Harper in 21

Hurts in 2022.

City has had a run of MVPs over the last half decade, it's a pretty impressive display of great individual talent. Philly sports has been pretty great lately.

Denver plays Arizona and @ LAR the next two weeks.  They have been eliminated from the playoffs.

It would be really helpful for our pick if they started to mail it in and lose out.

giants have commanders, vikings, eagles, colts. Im going full hubris and saying they're already out

Jets are Lions, Jags, Dolphins..... SEAHAWKS?! Wait what?

100% that game determines it

Arizona coming off a short week and going to Denver could be rough. Plus murray against that defense likely does something stupid. Still they are the better team in that game. They should win. Rams are gonna have issues blocking the pass rush of the broncos but baker gives them a better shot then the alternative.

Are you ignoring who actually won MVP and inserting your preferred Philly icon?

I kind of think it comes down to that Seahawks game. I don’t see seattle winning vs. sf or KC the next two weeks. Don’t see the jets winning vs. lions or dolphins. Although Goff against good passes rushes still worries me if I’m the lions.

I don't see it.

Right now, Dallas will mop the floor with Tampa.  They don't run the ball well and the protection of Brady has been shaky which both play right into Dallas strengths.

Until something changes drastically with Tampa I don't trust em.

But we will see.
