Starting the offseason, Eagles were somewhat OK for future cap.

On top of everything they did this year, they borrowed from the future.  As it currently sits, the Eagles have to get under the cap this afternoon, and have no rollover into next season.

January 6th, the Eagles had 43.3 million in 2023 space, now they have 11.3 million in 2023 cap space with 42 players under contract.

January 6th, the Eagles had 91.7 million in 2024 space, now they have 50.3 million in 2024 cap space with 27 players under contract.

Yes, they signed some guys, AJ Brown for example, but I do not think they have added 73.4 million in talent that they have used from 2023 / 2024.

Isn’t the cap supposed to go up significantly next year and the following?

These projections are based on the 2023 projected cap of 225 million, and the 2024 projected cap of 256 million.

This is not directed at you, but it drives me crazy that so many people think when we have this discussion we are using this years cap number to project the future issues.

Eagles love not filling roster out. My guess is they keep it at 52 and so the PS game day call ups. I don’t get it.

2020 was after the concussion.

Similar crap around him.  Much worse result.

Worse crap around him.  The OL in 2019 was still functional.  The OL in 2020 was the epitome of dysfunctional.

This does not make any sense, even with the call ups, there can still only be 46 active players on game day.  So when they call up the two practice squad players, that gets the roster to 54, still does not change the 46 that can be active.

Rather than combining the numbers... let's keep it simple.  Did they add 41.4 M in talent to the 2024 roster?   What were the moves since Jan. 6th?   Brown is the obvious big one.  Plus the draft.  Were any of the extensions to Mailata, Goedert, Maddux or Sweat after Jan. 6th?

I think he was referring to the Washington game where we was dreadful passing the ball and they put in Sudfeld.  He was caught on camera with the 'that's not right' line.

I had them at the full complement of 17 players on the Practice Squad.  Was there a companion transaction?

And Reddick's deal expires in 2024, with a huge jump in his cap hit.   BTW... I hate the way that contract is structured.  Just a can waiting to be kicked.

I know, I decided the bigger hissy fit should be brought up.

Oh yeah, that is the one that will be restructured that off season to get the Eagles more cap space.

Yeah I wish someone would give me $50 mill and "screw me over”. I’m not saying the Eagles were blameless but he acted like an entitled brat
