A) Hard Knocks drove fans to the ticket booth.

Do the Lions have actual fans?  I think I've met maybe one my entire life.

Yeah I wish someone would give me $50 mill and "screw me over”. I’m not saying the Eagles were blameless but he acted like an entitled brat

I'd prefer not to go down the road of how they screwed him over since the SB and move onto the Lions

I’ve met a few. It’s kind of sad because neither was proud or passionate about it.

Yes.  I have a friend who was a big fan.  Season ticket holder.   He gave them up before last season and hasn't been happier.   He used to be like us where his whole day revolved around the Lions... the outcome would determine his mood.   Now, he has lost that passion, checks in on Sundays to watch the game, but will turn it off when he starts to feel frustrated and finds something else to do.

That fan base has been so beaten down for so long... even more than the Browns fans.

Disappointed Charbonnet went back, like Blankenship (who I wanted) a year earlier.  Here's to history repeating, though I don't see the UCLA kid as a UDFA kid.🙂

Same.

Been chewing over the opener and have returned to basics when all is masticated. Our lines are better than their lines.

Also, Dan Campbell is old school, and his team is pretty beat up already thanks to all those Hard Knocks. I think Gannon is very conservative early to avoid giving up a big strike or two but then we just grind them down.

@LeanMeanGM

Just finished the last episode of Hard Knocks. Was really hoping they’d go into some detail about the Eagles and how they got trounced last year by Philly.

My biggest takeaway is Dan Campbell is a very likable and humble guy. A little too rah rah for me. If coaching doesn’t work out he’ll have a job on TV.

WIP has announced their Ray Didinger replacement as an analyst. They’ve brought on Jaws to break down Eagles games every week. Curious if he’ll be on NBCSN too,

" and heres former eagle LT Jason Peters coming on the field for the Cowboys!"......False start penalty in......3......2.......1..

Eagles love not filling roster out. My guess is they keep it at 52 and so the PS game day call ups. I don’t get it.

It may be to avoid having to count the 53rd player against the Cap.  The 53rd player would simply add one more player to the gameday Inactives, so why not get one week of Cap relief?

One of my favorite jokes every year was always Eagles have a bye week…

Over/Under 1.5 false starts for Peters…

Cut Sinnett and Perine. Signed Tate and Dalton Keene

Thanks

On a separate subject, do you have a list of the game 1 score predictions and the season record predictions you want to share?

Thanks for keeping the log of those predictions.  I have a first-hand appreciation of the work it entails.

Do you guys think we see a similar approach from teams that Tampa used against us in the playoffs? Or do you think Tampa has the talent on D that most teams don't have and it can't be replicated without it? It's a copycat league, so I'm curious to see how teams approach our run game and what adjustments we have in mind.

Cowboys commit alot of penalties so he should fit right in.

I hope they all try to use that approach.  If they do we will get a very early indicator of how much of a difference Brown makes and how much progress Hurts has made.

They will try to take away the run for sure, now every team tries that all the time but even more so against us because if you can’t stop our run it’s already a lost game.

Remains to be seen how good we are through the air, but feels to me like we have gotten a lot better there with Brown too.

Either way, the Eagles are over the cap at 4PM today, so someone is getting restructured before then.

Teams will try but not sure they have the front 7 to do it as successfully as the Bucs did. What do I expect to see is teams being extra physical to him. Not as dirty as Williams on the Jets but he's going to be taking a lot of shots, especially if he keeps doing extended draw plays like I think he had a habit of doing last year.

I mean really who does that to themselves.

@LeanMeanGM  Eagles 33 Lions 18

BONUS: Smith and Brown both score a touchdown.
