I think the sentiment you are after...a player is baselessly built up by the hype machine when only a few insiders or practice/camp attendees can actually see him, then it becomes plainly obvious that he flat out sucks once the lights go on and everyone can watch.

I could not emotionally handle backtracking into 12 personnel, especially with a not-that-fast #1 WR who plays to contact.  I'm getting shivers down my spine already.
