Well you cant make fun of me not liking steak, or any meat off a bone anymore. You got a kid-like preference on your chilli.

Steve Young ran when the play broke down and he could take easy yards.  There was not designed run plays.

You haven't had good chili. It is way under rated.

As opposed to running without the ball in his hands?

I have. It's just ok.

The only thing close I've ever really liked was one with a smoked pork shoulder in a verde sauce, but at that point it's really more of a stew/taco filler than a chili. But the standard ground meat beans etc?  Meh...

The Birds Road Trip Continues as they take on those Monsters of the Midway Chicago Bears.    Jalen faces Justin Fields, they both were Heisman Trophy Finalist back in 2019.  The Birds and Bears have a long history of Legendary Games.  Bears lead the Series overall though the Birds have winning record against them in the Playoffs.  The Birds are also on a 5 Game Winning streak against the Bears dating back to 2011.  Including the Double Doink Playoff game.  TJ Edwards is also from Chicago area....along with Eagles Legend Donovan Mcnabb.  Legendary 85 Bears Coach Buddy Ryan would also Coach the Eagles.   Tom Thayer recently came out and said the 22' Birds remind him of the 85 Bears who went 15-1 and won the Super Bowl.

This Bears team hasn't had the best season.  They're on a 6 game losing streak and lost 9 of their last 10. They are also already out of playoff contention.   With that said, they do play hard and have been in several close games.   Justin is literally keeping this team in games and killing it on the ground. The Defense is just giving up way too many points.    The Birds haven't taken any opponent lightly all season.  They will take the Bears very seriously.   Overall I feel like Jalen and this O will be able to do damage on this Defense.  I think everyone gets involved for another Five TD game.  Justin will get yards, no doubt but I think the D can contain him somewhat.  I also think they will force him into some mistakes.   I just don't see them slipping up here.  Bears will score some points but it won't be enough.  The 1980 Eagles,  2004 Eagles and 2017 Eagles also played and beat Chicago during their Super Bowl runs.  Time for this team to join the tradition.  Birds Advance to 13-1and continue Road Warrior Streak to 7-0 (9-0 dating back to last Season)

THE BIRDS - 38

DA BEARS - 18

Jalen - Rush TD

Miles - Rush TD

AJ - TD

DeVonta - TD

Quez - TD

Jake - FG

Defense - Multiple sacks, Fumble Recovery, INT

What’s Britney Griner doing in that photo with Burrow, Fields and Hurts??

If you think Chili is over rated than you haven't had good Chili. How can you say in one sentence that you have had good Chili and then in another say it was just ok? That doesn't make sense.

IE just because you don't like Chili or think it's just OK does not make it over rated.

When I say "good" chili I mean well made. Good quality butcher meat. Fresh ingredients. High quality canned tomatoes. Rehydrated beans instead of from the can. Slow cooked instead of insta pot style etc. Basically all the ways you could make chili "good". And the end result is just "pretty good".

People treat it like it's some amazing Sunday meal. It's not. It's a solid easy casserole dish.

Yep. People go nuts for chili. It’s fine, but I never look forward to it.

I've been looking around and can't find the answer. If we win today and cowboys lose do we clinch division?

I might be mistaken but originally Chilli is beanless.

My guess is no because we would be three up with three to play, but Dallas would have the tiebreaker if we lose the rest of our games and they win out.

I make pulled (not choked) chicken chili in a crock pot.  It is awesome.

Eagles Clinch NFC East With…

  • Eagles beat Dallas on Christmas Eve (Week 16)
  • (Week 15 vs. Bears doesn’t play into NFC East race)

If the eagles won (13-1) and dallas lost (10-4) there would be 3 games left. If the cowobys won out (including a win against the eagles) and the eagles dropped the last three the cowboys would win the division bc they would have a 5-1 division record vs eagles 4-2

ETA: if eagles lost out in that scenario their division record would be 3-3 since NYG is week 18

Thats obviously not the only way they can clinch but thats the earliest they can clinch.

Todays game will be very important should we lose to Dallas.

man would it be nice if Jax upset Dallas today.

Nah.  I would much rather they have hope next week, and then we can go into Dallas and rip their heart out.

What chili (recipe or brand) is your favorite?

Chili with beans is called soup.

They would still have hope even if they lost today. But unfortunately for them their scenario for winning the division requires help from Saints and NYG on the road.

Looking at the NFL team stats, if the Eagles hold the Bears to 135 yards of total offense they match the 49ers total.  How close do you think the Eagles can get to that 135 yards allowed today?
