  • Perfect weekend for me. I got to make my long time soul mate my wife officially. And I got a eagles win today. Life is good.

I thought they figured three points for the home team

I think 1.5 is the bare minimum.

Yeah you would.

Home team gets 3.  Or so I've been told.

But also:

  • Revenge for Dallas having lost the first match-up.
  • And while Dallas did lose to Jax... the Eagles also played like garbage against the Bears are will be playing their 3rd straight road game.

Got it, thanks.  Dallas also just squeaked out a win vs the Texans.

Just looked it up... Hurts had 17 carries today.  WAY too many, especially with the shots he was taking... against a 3 win team.  Sanders got only 11.  Gross.

Who's the MVP favorite now? Still Hurts?

Unbelievably frustrating day of play calling, especially with how off Hurts was early on.

I just think the Eagles have looked far more dominant the majority of the year compared to how the Cowboys have looked.

Jalen Mahomes

Guess we want the giants to win

Timing... betting... and trends play a big role.  I don't bet, but Vegas wasn't built by not knowing how to set lines.   The gambling 'gurus' gret vety deep into things like revenge, double revenge, trends on the road, ebbs and flows, etc.  Dallas losing today might actually make them more likely to be favored.

Dallas also gets a lot of public betting play due to their popularity so part of it is the books hedging against that.

Just saw the big hit from the DT landing with full weight onto Hurts' throwing shoulder.  :nonono:.  Not a fan of how they ran the offense this game.  Not even a little bit.

Incidentally, that's a penalty in the pocket.   No penalty when he's running like that.

Extremely reckless play calling. Especially after the game Sanders had last week. There has to be something we’re missing whether Sanders got hurt, wasn’t feeling the weather elements, or whatever. The Quez touches were maddening too.

It's probably going to come down to next week. If we have a good game on versus the Cowboys and win then he's probably a lock for MVP.

Is it silly to think the Eagles don't want to see Sanders continue to add value to his next contract so they don't utilize him with the hopes he could be cheaper?  Just makes no sense at all to not feed him from the very first snap against such a crap run defending team...all while calling designed QB runs.

Under the radar thing from this game is Wallace actually played a good game for the first time maybe in his career.

I'm far from the world's biggest Boston Scott fan, but give him some runs.  Not a fan of my QB running so much under normal circumstances.  But, this late in the season, with a huge game against a division rival looming on a short week, you need your QB as close to 100% as you can.  AND... this is a 3 win team... start by trying to beat them with a more traditional running game and then turn it over to the QB if necessary.   Just hate this game plan...

Bo Nix returning to Oregon. I thought he might have a shot to be QB1 this year.

I like him as a pro prospect

If that were the case then I think they would have just given his carries to Gainwell or Scott. They refused to run the ball with any RB today.

He's looked good as a tackler all year to me, so I wasn't too surprised to see him do well against the Bears. Against a team with a good passing attack? That'll be another story.

I wasn’t keeping an eye out for him but I don’t think I saw Davis once today and he didn’t register a stat. Is he on a snap count?

Then maybe it was a big F You to Micah Parsons and they wanted to showcase Hurts?  I have no idea.  It was an absolute garbage game plan, yet they still won. They won despite the play calling, despite Hurts being off early on.  Hurts helped by throwing some absolute dimes and having DOGS at WR.

Today was Wallace's best day as a pro.
