If you guys want to be optimistic, Howie will 100% use this in off-season contract negotiations with Hurts to push AAV down. 

It's worth mentioning that Hurts has now been hurt in 3 straight years. Nothing major, but given his play-style, he's going to be beaten up a bit.

Second year in a row he’s had a late season injury. So he’s not impervious to injury. So you have to protect him more and not run him into some danger regardless of how great his legs are as a weapon. Use your rb who’s been great this year as well. I much rather take my chances with sanders getting dinged up then my Qb

that said I suspect we draft a Qb in the second round cause we need a cheap backup

Did you watch the game? One of the worst run defenses in the league as well as one of the worst pass defenses in the league, in 20 degree weather, on a crap field, and to quote Sirianni "our game plan was to win with Jalens legs". 

Do you think Sirianni doesn't talk to his QB about how he's feeling? Do you think Sirianni was distracted and didn't see a 270+ lb defender fall on top of him with all his weight and drive his shoulder to the ground which Hurts was slow to get up? And then let him rush 6 more times after that? It's absolutely on Sirianni and he's lucky it's just a sprain.

As much as people want to blame Steichen on the play-calling, Hurts doesn't have to keep every option. Part of that is on him.

I watched Arturo Gatti break his hand in the 4th round in the 4th fight against Mickey Ward, would hardly throw it, and when he did, you get see the pain run through his whole body.  By the 8th, he was turning it loose.

They only fought 3x. But, I get your point.

Can't get his facts straight...

My concern with Hurts seeking contact at times is this. He gets dinged but we are fortunate to be in a great position where it kind of doesn't matter. Run, but be smart about it.

And at least 1 week of Minshew with these WRs... Fun

Just need him to become Jeff Garcia and win 1 game on Christmas Eve.

It's also on the coaches to not put him in that position to begin with.

Problem is Jalen not only kept on too many RPO's, he also checked in to some QB keepers.

Specifically the one on 3rd and 8 that he ran in for TD.

He has just as much culpability here as the coaches. They both f'ed up.
